Just gonna add for the 147th time that frequently visited category in safari is still missing!!!!!!!

Seriously, I don’t know why you have an Apple device. The waves of things wrong and complaining that hits on here in a flood… give yourself a break buddy. I feel stressed for you!!!

Your even anti ‘restores’ because, why should you have to, but I think you need to or maybe try a different operating system, someone please help this man. 😆😂

Updated my 2018 11” IPP to 15.4.1 today. Took it off the charger at 3:29pm. At 9:34pm - after 6 hours and 5 minutes on standby - the iPad battery charge was down to 98%.

Phenomenal battery life, especially on a nearly 4 year old device.

I would say that Apple’s work on iPadOS 15 is done.
Mine never gets to standby

Have you thought of using Firefox: Private Safe Browser? You may like it better than Safari.

I have apple devices because there are still things they do really well. My apologies for attempting to bring light and have a higher expectations of a 2T dollar company that core functionality like safari functions the way its advertised. Not broken 6 months after an update.

Sounds a bit like @LFC2020 troubleshooting flowchart, next you'll be suggesting him try a Google Android phone 🤣

My seven-year-old iPad Air chews through 3% every 24 hours. I often get the backup warning after two weeks without charging. I would say that Apple’s work on iOS 12 is done. Just a friendly counterpoint.

Mail has been stable for all of ios 15 but is now almost non working anymore with 15.4.1. Seems like the old bug with exchange mail is back. Not impressed with battery life either.

My 13 Pro is draining yet again with the newest update. The standby battery life is even worse. Loosing about 9-10% every night without anything running in the background. The overall performance is around 4 to 5 SOT with 80% of the battery - which is significantly worse than any previous iOS version. I'm watching YouTube videos and people with 13 Pro seem to have phenomenal battery life, but that's not the case with me - I'm just not feeling that my device is running properly with everything related to my BL.

I’d still rock Netscape if I could ?
I really liked OmniWeb on my Mac years ago. Safari works very well for me but there are always a few features that don’t work which I mainly attribute to iCloud issues that Apple has difficulty keeping up with.

Probably the worst standby drain that I’ve ever experienced since owning an iPhone has finally occurred.

I’d make an appointment to get that checked. Mine was charged to 93% at 3:30am and currently at 11:30am it’s at 83% and I used Maps navigation for 25 minutes without attaching to a charger. I don’t think my battery life has ever been better on any phone.

Were you streaming music during that time? If so, Apple has been dealing with an ongoing bug since 15.2 that causes additional CPU usage and more battery when streaming over the music app. It seems that playing locally stored music is not as bad though.

This is somewhat of a long-lasting minor bug I have had for several versions, the audio if all the way down, I won't get any text tones, or notification sounds in general. I have already checked that the "Change with buttons" is turned off in the audio settings. Anyone else seeing this?

Standby battery drain on 15.4.1 on my 13 Pro Max maybe sees 2% battery drain in standby and most of the time it is 0% battery drain. Maybe you want to try doing a Recovery Mode Restore followed by a restore from backup. The one time I had a bad battery drain, the Recovery Mode Restore resolved it.

That's a good point, but wouldn't the chart posted earlier as a screen shot show background usage for Music ?

When I installed 15.4.1, Mail was consistently running in the background. I uninstalled Mail and reinstalled it. That took care of it from running in background. This was on iPhone and iPad.

I can't say why the music app is displayed this way but it reports as "background activity." Your graph shows the music app doing background activity account for 51% of the battery usage. At least that is what is reported. The app on my phone reports the same way.

Its showing 51% background process during the times of 12pm thru to around 1am, yes. I was referring to areas of time when device was not used or registering any usage from 1AM onwards.
