My touch screen issue is basically problem with opening Instagram. When I click on icon of Instagram in Spotlight then icon goes gray and nothing else.

Now after my touch screen issues were eliminated in the 15.4 and 15.4.1, they are back in 15.5 beta 1. Sigh.
There has been reports of "Ghost touches" that cropped up again in 15.4.1. Not sure if this is the same issue that you are having but there is a chance that Apple brought the bug back at 15.4.1. I would still report a feedback regardless.

Can anyone report that if iPad OS 15.5 fixes the safari tab group bug where pages will jump back when clicking links or the tab will crash/reload??

This is a terrible bug that started in 15.4

No, meant to say touch screen registration issue. Having to tap an app multiple time for it to open. 15.4.1 had no such issues, 15.3 and earlier did.

Not on a beta. Running currently running most updated iOS 15.4.1. What’s going on with Safari? 🫥😵‍💫

I don’t know why but my lights appear with a „!“ in the Notification Center but if I open the detailed view, I can deactivate them just fine ??‍♂️

Still getting random crashes/reloads in Safari. Not exclusive to this beta, obviously, but obviously not fixed from the prior version you mentioned, either. Just serves to further illustrate the semi-humorous fallacy of referring to any Apple software as “final” :) It’s all bug-filled crap, so might as well be on the bleeding edge, right?

Mail takes ages to update. Sometimes have to quit out a few times.

Worked like lightening on 15.4.1

Done a network reset, standard beta behaviour, and 3 reboots.

Next step will be reinstalling the beta, but if it persists, will downgrade back to 15.4.1

@Bobout guess what? ?
Just reinstalled 15.5 b1 via IPSW finder… Mail now updates within a second as it was before on 15.4.1 ??.

Mic drop ?

I have both the touch registration and ghost touch issue running 15.4.1 on 13 Pro Max. Been dealing with it since 15.2.

I was definitely experiencing ghost touches on my iPad during 15.4.1. Jury’s out on 15.5.

No. It’ll come with the iPhone 14.

This is a hardware innovation, not a software innovation. They could do it today if they wanted to, but the existing hardware won’t support it.
It is a combination of both hardware and software. The software APIs drive the variable refresh rate. I think Apple wanted to have the best battery life possible with the iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max and probably determined that 10 Hz was good enough for the best possible battery life using the A15.

I just realized the iOS version matches the version naming of the A series processors. Not sue why it did not dawn on me earlier.
