Your arguments make no sense at all. Just cuz you can’t use your iPhone one handed you assume that’s how everyone uses theirs. It’s a phone for crying out loud not a Samsung Note. It’s designed to be used with one hand.I didn’t misread anything. I’m saying filling that empty useless space with buttons is not a waste of space. Having a floating bar with a heavy drop shadow that obscures stuff behind it is a perfect example of wasted space. I don’t see how it makes it “feel” cramped, when you’re scrolling and actually reading content then that stuff disappears anyways. There was no issue with the previous design or the current design in terms of feeling cramped when reading content. And when not reading content you get an array of useful buttons instead of just jamming everything behind a “…” button. Beta 1-5 was terrible design.
I don’t see anyone using their phone one handed. It’s too cumbersome and makes it easier to drop. What do you need your other hand for anyways? Using a phone takes your attention away from whatever else you’d use your hand for.
I use my iPhone to browse content while I hold my beer in my other hand. I’d be wasting a lot of time if I had to do one thing after the other.
