I didn’t misread anything. I’m saying filling that empty useless space with buttons is not a waste of space. Having a floating bar with a heavy drop shadow that obscures stuff behind it is a perfect example of wasted space. I don’t see how it makes it “feel” cramped, when you’re scrolling and actually reading content then that stuff disappears anyways. There was no issue with the previous design or the current design in terms of feeling cramped when reading content. And when not reading content you get an array of useful buttons instead of just jamming everything behind a “…” button. Beta 1-5 was terrible design.

I don’t see anyone using their phone one handed. It’s too cumbersome and makes it easier to drop. What do you need your other hand for anyways? Using a phone takes your attention away from whatever else you’d use your hand for.

Safari bar B5 gives the appearance of more space because it’s floating over the content. It does obscure stuff yes, but your eye looks at content in the centre to top of your phone naturally, so something being covered right at the bottom you would naturally scroll up?!?

One handed users I see hundreds of people walking around London using their phones one handed, I’m using mine one handed now, cuppa tea in the other hand. #multitasking

Same with the 5g issue. Only getting LTE right now and I have decent 5G in my area usually. I’m with T-Mobile. LTE and Wi-Fi is fine but can’t get 5G. I don’t think modem changed in this beta.

Edit. Just reset all network settings and 5G Is back and looks like it’s staying connected.

IP 12 got a .05 to .10 bump on this beta. Check the first page of this thread buddy.

Bet you can’t hold a pro max one handed on a cold rainy night in stoke 😳😂

This Beta 6 Safari design is wasting a lot of space with sites that have content at the bottom. With the previous betas, even though the url bar could overlap with the site’s content, it was much easier to hide and show the floating bar with a single tap. I didn’t like the tiny refresh button in beta 5 that was too easy to hit accidentally though. I liked the big and clear refresh button of beta 2 or 3 that was easily accessible with two taps. It feels like Apple tried too hard to accommodate people that are sensitive to changes. Having the option to choose between the old top-bar design and the new design is great, but then they should go for the original concept and not something compromised.

why would I EVER be in Stoke 😆😂😆😂😆

And out in the cold and rain. And out in Stoke. In the night, out in Stoke 😂😆
Use to wake up at 3am to watch the reds play there, not a easy place to play at back then 😳🤦‍♂️ better off staying in bed, if only I was on the beta train back then 😂

It collapses out of the way when you‘re scrolling, it’s the same size as before when scrolling, what’s them extra icons you got there taking up space?

OBC surprisingly doesn’t work using my belkin wireless charger. Even testing out those tips I posted a few days ago.

But, does when I plug in with a cable.

what an investment that was 😆
Example below of Belkin sucking ass.

Did you see the video's I posted? When a website has content fixed at the bottom (tab bar for example) the page length will not adapt when the URL bar collapses and hence a lot of space is wasted. It is easier to watch the video than to explain.

My new charging set up so OBC (optimised battery charging) works and I get some usage out of the Belkin charging pad 😆😂
Get the belkin 3-1 MagSafe charger, had mine for 8 month, awesome bit of kit 👌 charges at 15 watts.

Never bothered with OBC, all I ever hear from people that it never works. 😂 they should let us schedule a time like we do with DND. 🤦‍♂️
