I have the 12 Pro and waited to install the Beta until the GM/RC....this is one of the worst RCs I've experienced besides iOS 11. Battery issues, heat issues, slow safari, buggy....I'm Currently restoring to 14.8 until I get my new iPhone 13 Pro.

My iPhone 11 pro is getting hot while using safari. I did a restore to try to fix it but it did not.

Any ideas?
Are there ads at all on the site, specifically ones that move or produce sound? If so, see on a site that does not have ads. If you are mentioning this site, it was known that there were issues with some people seeing extra heat and reduced battery life, while on this site, but was not affected on other sites.

😡😡😡 apple fix safari for crying out loud 🤦‍♂️

You’ll be waiting for 15.1, Not a new RC, for this to be fixed, as it’s not a showstopper bug.
It is not a serious bug, but losing between 4 and 5Gb for nothing, it is not pleasant either. But if possible if you have activated the Photos section in iCloud, and see that it uploads them, but it does not optimize the space at all. There are all the photos in iCloud and the device, when in the device you should leave previews in low resolution. It has been like this for 2 weeks and I no longer believe that I optimize anything.

Optimized battery charging hasn't been kicking in since iOS 14.8 , at least for me .
Any views on that issue with iOS 15 RC ?

Give it time with a normalized schedule. Might need to relearn charge patterns. I can confirm that optimized charging does in fact work on the RC build.

Mine would not charge past 80 % so I turned it off. That was one of my issues going from beta 8 to this RC have not tried since I set up phone as new and wiped it. Good to know you have it working !!

Don’t know if I am suddenly using my iPhone more than before but I unplugged my iPhone 12 Pro Max at 12:30 today and it is already back down to 43% just past midnight. Annoying. I used to charge it to 100% just before going to bed (leave it unplugged over night) and finish out the next evening with still well above 40% so now it lasts about 12, instead of 24 hours.

Considering wiping it completely tomorrow without a backup restore

Did that with mine and battery is 8-10 screen on (12ProMax).
It did fix a few bugs but … a few others have surfaced.
It could fix your battery issue.
One item I did notice, Apple Maps is using more battery than beta 8 and before. Odd.

I have been experiencing poor battery performance on an iPhone 11 Pro. Safari and PocketCast seem to take use up more battery than normal. I thought this might clear up with TRC, but alas no. I have done 2 force restarts and it seems to have improved *slightly*.

How do you charge? I seem to quite frequently have the stop at 80% when on a wireless charger and getting up at the usual work time. If I either use a cord to charge, or I sleep in longer(Weekends), it is higher.

I know that Apple also has a feature that if the phone gets too hot, it will halt at 80%, not sure but wondering if this is playing a role in this. Now, I have had this issue since day one with my 12 Pro.

Interesting…..
12 ProMax
I had turned off backing up my iCloud Mail to the iCloud.
When I did that, it removed / hid it in the Mail app.

Backup off - can’t see the account in Mail
Backup on. The account is now visible in Mail.

Mag safe wireless always. Even on weekends if I sleep in does not go higher than 80 percent

It might be heat then. The phone won't warn you but it will shut charging off past 80% if heat levels exceed a threshold. Unfortunately, wireless charging creates excessive heat. The magsafe is no different in that regard either.

Not using MagSafe but I drop my 12ProMax on my OnePlus 50W wireless charger and it goes straight to 100%.
Wonder if additional restrictions become active with MagSafe?

At least the system data storage went back to normal. Maybe too normal? Haha.

I still have lags here and there and sometimes also app reloads. I hope they will be fixed with the next updates.

I installed iOS5 on my 12 Pro Max, iPad Pro 3 Gen, WatchOS 8 on my Series 6.

I did DFU clean installations.

Things blink around in music app
Widgets are still a mess, i get random disappearing widgets / not updating.
The worst of it all, it messed up my iCloud Photo Library.
In the browser, iPhone, macOS i have 24666 photos.
On a clean restored ipad, i have 24667 photos.
Numbered are not in sync, and I don’t have the time to deal with this right now…
Tried a DFU two times on my iPad, still +1 photo.

My iPhone 12 Pro seems like it’s always warm and the battery is draining fast. My iPhone was never this warm on the previous beta.
