What's the point of a new beta for apple this week if the event is next week? You think apple can make all those new iPhones within 2 weeks?I hope a beta 9 today 🙏🏻 And tomorrow the invites 😊

Agreed. Beta 8 minus the "a" is what's being loaded onto iPhones being produced now. Any minor updates will go into 15.0.1, which will launch on the same day of the new iPhones or shortly thereafter. What's the point of a new beta for apple this week if the event is next week? just the dots on the i and in three weeks that won't work either. 🤷🏻♂️😉What's the point of a new beta for apple this week if the event is next week? You think apple can make all those new iPhones within 2 weeks?
They can OTA debugging / logging options and even remotely push a delta patch that „turns your Beta 8 into final“. It‘s how it always works when a beta build ends up as the final release.I would assume b8 still has all of the logging and stuff enabled. Maybe something like 19A54 or something.
Had me scratching my head too, turns out it‘s Microsoft rebranding their „News“ app…
This is Microsoft News renamed to Start...I got the same update today
Oops lol4 more minutes left! highly expecting the invites to go out!!!

What still prevents release of beta 9 todayEvent announced for 14th, which means RC will come after the event.
No beta 9 coming, as it would be pointless. Also, the RC will have been approved internally already, to be loaded on the new phones.
I'm thinking we'll see a beta 9 today or tomorrowWhat still prevents release of beta 9 today

TvOS beta 9 is out … ooops, too lateWhat still prevents release of beta 9 today
This! One key difference with tvOS (and, as a result, HomePod) is that it does not have a hard stop to flash it onto new hardware (unless there is a very big surprise coming that nobody in rumor land has sniffed out). That team is going to have a little more flexibility with the schedule as a result.
