iOS 15 Speculation Thread

So…just like every other week.

Do any of you who think app updates portend an imminent beta release realize (A) Monday is probably the biggest day for app updates every single week and (B) there are beta releases probably 35 weeks a year, usually in the earlier part of the week (M-T-W). So, of course, there is going to be some temporal association between the two events. But, to paraphrase a popular saying here: temporal association does not equal causation.

Plus, if all these app developers were in on the “game” of beta release schedules, don’t you think someone would have spilled the beans by now, even accidentally?

Thinking Wednesday, still issues in Beta 8 that need solved. Also may see an early Beta for 15.1 for the delayed features…probably the following week.

Unlikely we will get beta 9 and RC won’t come until after event, so you’re not likely to see anything for 15.0 this week. Maybe 15.1 beta 1, but that’s it. Maybe 14.8 too

Considering it's a holiday today, there's a chance we might not see a beta release this week at all.

Beta 8 is the final build I would say but without the beta logging so the next release is the RC after the event with the same build but minus the letter and a number, that’s my guess, but honesty ios 15 is more like ios 14.8 in my eyes, nothing to get excited about

We don’t need a beta 9. Also it doesn’t make sense. Apple will have the RC build done internally by now (which we get after the event next week), so it can go on the new devices, which takes time.

I wouldn’t be surprised to get RC1 this week without all of the code for the items being announced potentially next week. Then right after the event RC2 and public release the next day.

Agreed. Unless you bring up Safari… and everyone thoughts on it are mixed. I thought iPadOS 15 would bring upon a major update to the platform. But aside for the new menu for Full Screen, SplitView and SlideOver… not much to iPadOS 15. All these features could of been added in a 14.8 release and in addition to that… Apple is delaying some of iOS 15 features.
