I would like basic integration between Maps and Calendar so that my next appointment automatically shows up in the Maps app. Seems so fundamental, I’m really surprised it doesn’t happen already – but I don’t believe it does.
It does? I routinely see locations pop up that end up being a calendar event.

Maps and Calendar already integrate. For example, see my below screenshot.

Thanks, but I don't get that kind of info in Maps on my iPhone about upcoming Calendar entries—but it does show up on Maps in MacOS. (On my MacBook it shows up under "Siri Suggestions," and on my iPhone, I've made sure "Show Siri Suggestions in App" is ON for Maps.) I've searched online to find possible settings. If there's anything in particular you've set in iOS, I'd be super appreciative if you'd DM me with any suggestions. (Don't want to sidetrack this thread.) Thanks!

Hmm my Developer account has expired for a while now but I still have the ios14 beta software profile and have been using beta software until 14.7.

When ios15 developer beta is released we'll need the new profile. Assuming I probably won't be able to download it unless I activate my Developer account first...correct?

You can only obtain profiles with a valid developer subscription.

Snoozer. Few modifications to notifications on home screen/notification profiles is the most exciting.

Oh a Google lens clone.

Unless you like cheesy lets watch a video or listen to music over Facetime; because togetherness, yay! 👍 Or my fave song from Apple Music for my memory in photos. Do people actually use that type of stuff even?

Maps looks prettier, if you even use them. Weather app prettier.

Nothing major has changed, very disappointing. No interactive widgets, notta. No core app/Mail changes noted.

Huge amount of fluff.

sigh... I was VERY excited for a refresh to notifications, but this almost seems worse.
The machine learning stuff never works great. Look at app library. I have never used it once.

Fully user customizable often works better. The notification summary is likely something most wont even choose to use.

First time I can recall such a boring update. I wasn’t expecting an overhaul but man, unless they just skipped over a lot of stuff, this easily could have been iOS 14.5 (or I guess 14.8).
Seems not much leaked before WWDC, not because it was kept secret but because it seems there wasn’t much to actually leak.

Totally agree with that. They should call it iOS 14.8 and basta. Next ^^ Oh Animal Crossing in Maps only For SF, New York etc. Ok next ^^
