once the RC is installed do you need to update on the 20th as well or will the device recognise the RC as the same as the Public release?
Depends if there is a second RC or not, but usually you'll be fine with no need to update.once the RC is installed do you need to update on the 20th as well or will the device recognise the RC as the same as the Public release?
depends on if this is the actual version that they will use.. sometimes its a different versiononce the RC is installed do you need to update on the 20th as well or will the device recognise the RC as the same as the Public release?
If you remove the beta profile, and the build that Apple seeds on the 20th is newer than your current build, then iOS will prompt you to update to it. Seeing as it's likely 15.0.1 will drop on the 20th, and therefore be a newer build, then you'll likely get an update on the 20th.once the RC is installed do you need to update on the 20th as well or will the device recognise the RC as the same as the Public release?
I'm thinking next Tuesday15.1 Beta 1 tomorrow?
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Tuesday either, but I’m guessing Tuesday the following week so as not to mess with the beta testers getting the new phones pre-installed with 15. I can’t remember how it was done in the past thoughios 15.1 B1 today or Tuesday?
Logical thoughts?
My guess was the following week after the new iPhone drops 28th for 15.1 beta 1.. my thought is maybe they want it possibly tested on new phones also 🤷🏼♂️ios 15.1 B1 today or Tuesday?

We’ve had x.1 betas before the new phones, as I remember people complaining about what to do as there was no x.1 beta for the new devices until the next beta. 🤣I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Tuesday either, but I’m guessing Tuesday the following week so as not to mess with the beta testers getting the new phones pre-installed with 15. Beta can come out before, we’ve had it before, the new phones got a beta release either the Monday after they came out or waited until the next beta in the cycle (think we’ve had both variations over the years). My guess was the following week after the new iPhone drops 28th for 15.1 beta 1.. my thought is maybe they want it possibly tested on new phones also 🤷🏼♂️
I’ll be shocked if 15.1 beta is released before the iPhone 13 comes out, considering 15.1 will be all about ProRes most likely.
I don’t understand the logic of users getting new points. Can you please elaborate.I tend to agree with this. Also saves them a lot of problems with people on the beta who get new points and can’t restore from their 15.1 backups. I’m sure Support endorses this 100%
Fixed. The blasted QuickPath keyboard strikes again. Phones...not points.I don’t understand the logic of users getting new points. Can you please elaborate.
I think that will be 15.2.I’ll be shocked if 15.1 beta is released before the iPhone 13 comes out, considering 15.1 will be all about ProRes most likely.
And then don’t forget about universal control. There’s going to be a lot of 15.x releases lolI think that will be 15.2.
I think UC will be in 15.1 in October and ProRes & SharePlay in 15.2 in November.
UC = Universal Control….And then don’t forget about universal control. There’s going to be a lot of 15.x releases lol
