I was busy when I typed that and only noticed SharePlay in the post, my bad.

Although I do think SharePlay and UC will come in separate updates
Yea, I said separate, 15.1 is UC, comes out around same time as Monterey, around October then 15.2 SharePlay & new emojis, November.

The next Monterey beta should be our next week and curious to see if UC is properly enabled and not needing to mess around to get it active.

New build number for final release? 🤔 this inconsistent slow wifi is 🤬🤦‍♂️
I reckon so. I’m still leaning towards 15.0 coming out on Monday bring a newer build than the RC, with the Pegasus fix. The new phones will get a15.0.1 on their release day, that’s just for those devices, as the 15.9 RC build they have installed is the one we have now, that’s sans Pegasus.

Man, I hope there’s a newer build than this RC, battery life has been horrendous for me. I’ve been draining down to 30% or so halfway thru the day, and then charging again before bed. Apple Watch has been bad, too.

Im down from 100% at 6AM CST down to 62% at just about 10AM CST. 40% in 4 hours? 10% per hour? I'm not using it too much, at least not any more than I usually do. Battery settings are listing Siri as being the culprit. I was really hoping to wait until it's made available to the public, but I might restore my iPhone 12 Pro and S6 Apple Watch today...

::: Not that this has anything to do with "speculating", but I just started to unpair my Apple Watch, then I'll do an iPhone iCloud Backup and try a restore. Started at 10:40AM CST. I'm genuinely curious as to how long it'll take. I'd wager the bulk of you have only been updating over and over, not restoring. I can be your guinea pig LoL :::

I’m thinking the public build will be a newer build than the RC, as it will have the Pegasus exploit fix. The iPhone 13’s will get a 15.0.1 release on Friday that has the Pegasus fix.

the music issue is either gonna be 15.0.2 or 15.1, depending on if Apple class that as a big issue or not.

Happy Friday, ya’ll!

9to5mac has posted a well written article. Can’t wait for iOS 15 to be release on Monday.

how have they cocked it up on an RC build of all builds, when 8 was pretty solid?

Something they’ve updated between Beta 8 and RC has broken.

It’s entirely possible that it’s only an issue going from Beta 8 to RC. Maybe going from 14 to 15 won’t have the issue.

installing the RC I did IPSW finder, hold alt, click on check for update route, which from what I’ve read is a clean erase of iOS and installs the fresh version, rather than new files being saved over old with OTA. I’ve not seen any of these RC issues on my 12 if that helps.

So if they are so ahead of us with the os, they’ve had time to not put out that broken RC and make changes, so it does work, no? what was the rush to push out a “broken” RC… ?!?

I suspect they’ve not done OTA for beta 8 to RC, so haven’t seen these issues.

RC had to come out when it did so Devs can test and submit app updates.

I think it has something to do with OTA.. it seems the people that did it through finder or reinstalled and set up new most issue went away.. I went the set up as new route after my OTA “cocked” up my phone and its fine now
