I’d like to see a beta 2 of iOS 15 to coincide with the date (15th) and the day (Tuesday). Unlikely for beta 2 seeing as this would usually be two weeks between first and second, but this would be a nice symbolic opportunity.

A symbolic opportunity to coincide some beta with some date? 😂😂😂

Apple couldn’t care less about beta 2 symbolism.

Now if it were some big anniversary date or the launch of macOS 20 or iOS 20, that’d be a different story worth talking about and a symbolism actually worth considering.

But some beta 2? Fuhgeddaboudit 😂

Apple wouldn’t care. I would if that gives me a beta sooner! 😂

Dolby Atmos in the car has to be inevitable, right? Maybe an iOS 16 feature. They’ll probably start off with compatibility with some BMW car or something.

Probably boils down to the individual car maker wanting to add support for it. Not really something Apple can force or do on their own.

Afaik they did mention that they’re in talks with car makers to support it.

Currently have a back up of iOS 14.5.1, at the moment I’m on 14.7 beta 1, most likely jump off the beta train after beta 3 and wait for iOS 15 public beta to get released.

will I have any issues if I want to downgrade and restore from my backup later on If I do it this way?

what happens now that apple has stopped signing iOS 14.5.1? and if i wanted to downgrade from iOS 15 to 14.5.1 Backup? 🤔

Or is it better to wait for 14.7 final release, then jump on iOS 15?

You can't revert to 14.5.1 since it's no longer signed. You can go back to 14.6 and then restore from the 14.5.1 backup. But why not just remove the beta profile for 14 then what for the PB profile for 15 to be released.

Thanks, hoping one of these betas will fix my green tint issue, will jump off after the next beta.

Are you sure I can restore from 14.6 to my 14.5.1 backup? Apparently you can’t update from newer software to older backup (iOS 14.5.1)

You're not restoring from IOS 14.6 to a backup. You're restoring an older backup, 14.5.1, to a newer version of IOS on your phone. You cannot restore a newer version backup to an older IOS version on your phone.

maybe we'll get an iOS 15 beta 2 today or this week What do you think?

It’s unlikely. But Apple has broken its old patterns before, so I’m not going to rule it out. Arguing against it, though, is that the iOS engineers have all been doing labs and other WWDC stuff for the past week, so probably pretty slow in Cupertino on the development front.

Thx for you’re answer 😉
