I don't believe it does. I think it's more of an addiction to the thrill of a new release but I can only speak for myself. In regards to 15.2, I have no idea how it is because I've been on 15.3 since before Christmas.

It’s awful, especially CarPlay.

In what way? I am genuinely curious as so far I haven't noticed anything out of ordinary. I am using carplay on daily basis, maps, music, siri commands, navigation commands from calendar etc.
True Tone is still wildly inconsistent for me and has been since iOS 15.

This next beta must be something big lol
Given that the Apple team didn't work for nearly 2 weeks, I'd say that's unlikely. As the others have said, it will probably be the normal 10-12 build increment.

I am also in the "no 15.2.1" camp. I think there will be a quick turn on 15.3, with a release in early February (if not sooner) followed by the big kahuna: 15.4 b1, timed for a public release in late March.

No chance Apple will go without an update on Jan. My money is on 15.2.1 very soon.

On which device(s)? Works quite well on my iPhone 12 but the iPad (9th generation) feels less consistent and a touch too cool.
13 Pro Max.

Not a hardware issue since some builds throughout the beta cycle outright fixed it whereas some broke it completely.

Thanks for answering—I had a sinking suspicion that it was a 13-series device. Sorry for non-speculation, everyone, and happy 200th page!
You reminded me to check my Feedback app and it looks like I submitted the bug report for this all the way back in October and it’s still open…

One last inquiry: Are you running 15.2 or the 15.3 beta? If you’re on the public release it may be a good idea to give the beta a go, especially since there is more certainty it should soon receive an update.

I’m on 15.3. Been running the betas since they started, haha.

15.2 came out Dec 10th. Unless 15.3 has a small beta cycle, I can’t see Apple going almost two months with no public updates. 5 betas would put us end of Jan, early Feb.
