Sigh. I´ve been having more and more dropped calls on 15.5. Not ideal, particularly while working. Somebody else still suffering this?
Dropped calls and a lot of 'Call Failed' messages when making calls. My Wife & I have also been completely unable to answer calls on our Apple Watches.

And holy battery drain Batman! I've noticed my Battery health was at 94% a few weeks ago and now is at 88%. I'm also finding that I'm needing to charge up again close to 3 times a day! I'm checking the battery settings stats and really I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary other than "Backups" taking up a high percentage. All this started while on the 15.5 RC. I've even reinstalled via the Finder with the .IPSW file, and I'm seeing no change at all. I've definitely had better experiences on some 'bleeding edge' betas than this current release.

Like when it's automatically doing an iCloud Backup. The icon in the list shows it’s just the system backup running:

It doesn’t look right. Automatic iCloud backups only run when the iPhone is plugged in and locked. It shouldn’t be consuming any battery.
Have you tried disabling the iCloud backup for a couple days? That’s an awful lot of background usage.

Do you think we will have to wait until 15.6 to get this sorted out? (hope not).

This is exactly why I stick with the beta train 99% of the time—at least fixes tend to get pushed out quicker.

Calls have been far more reliable for me (iPhone 13 mini) on 15.6 versus 15.5 for what it’s worth.

I'd really prefer not to disable my backups, though. I've never had this issue specifically related to the "Backup" process. It's not like there's a backup running when I look. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Back up process usually runs when you charge your device overnight or for longer period of time. Correct?

You can manually backup once a day and can disable it once done.

That's what should be happening, yeah. I'm petty close to just setting up as new again, but am going to wait it out until the next update to see if that helps. I've got a few friends & family members who've mentioned this weekend that their iPhone's battery was low and needed to find a spot to charge. Something else going on, and I'm sure it wasn't Backups running on their devices, either.

Maybe it's the Facebook App draining the battery?

I'll actually be travelling next week. No way I'm installing this at least until I'm home. I'll be living vicariously through all of you suckers, er, brave beta testers!

(Oh, who am I kidding...I'll wait til Tuesday or Wednesday and then install!)
Meh...I always install even though this is my primary device. Always have my iPad and laptop as a back-up anyway. My dream is to have my phone f'd up so I can't get any calls, messages or emails. ;)

Oh you know I’ll do it. In the old days when I had an iMac and my iPhone was a corporate phone I wouldn’t have dared. Now that it’s my own phone and I’ll have my MBP with me, I can take that chance. I can always restore if I brick it.
