How long does the federal holiday go for?
We need more 3-5 day holidays in the US...24 hours.
Technically Memorial Day was yesterday, Monday, May 30, but as such it was an extended weekend (“Memorial Day Weekend”) for many in America. How long does the federal holiday go for?
On a calendar it's only one day. But in reality, it starts unofficially sometime Thursday afternoon when folks decide they want to cut out early, and then "WFH" on Friday, and then have the 3 day weekend, and then slowly stagger in Tuesday morning..How long does the federal holiday go for?
Dropped calls and a lot of 'Call Failed' messages when making calls. My Wife & I have also been completely unable to answer calls on our Apple Watches.Sigh. I´ve been having more and more dropped calls on 15.5. Not ideal, particularly while working. Somebody else still suffering this?
What kind of backups?Dropped calls and a lot of 'Call Failed' messages when making calls. My Wife & I have also been completely unable to answer calls on our Apple Watches.
And holy battery drain Batman! I've noticed my Battery health was at 94% a few weeks ago and now is at 88%. I'm also finding that I'm needing to charge up again close to 3 times a day! I'm checking the battery settings stats and really I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary other than "Backups" taking up a high percentage. All this started while on the 15.5 RC. I've even reinstalled via the Finder with the .IPSW file, and I'm seeing no change at all. I've definitely had better experiences on some 'bleeding edge' betas than this current release.
It doesn’t look right. Automatic iCloud backups only run when the iPhone is plugged in and locked. It shouldn’t be consuming any battery.Like when it's automatically doing an iCloud Backup. The icon in the list shows it’s just the system backup running:

This is exactly why I stick with the beta train 99% of the time—at least fixes tend to get pushed out quicker.I've definitely had better experiences on some 'bleeding edge' betas than this current release.
Calls have been far more reliable for me (iPhone 13 mini) on 15.6 versus 15.5 for what it’s worth.Do you think we will have to wait until 15.6 to get this sorted out? (hope not).
I'd really prefer not to disable my backups, though. I've never had this issue specifically related to the "Backup" process. It's not like there's a backup running when I look. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯It doesn’t look right. Automatic iCloud backups only run when the iPhone is plugged in and locked. It shouldn’t be consuming any battery.
Have you tried disabling the iCloud backup for a couple days? That’s an awful lot of background usage.

Back up process usually runs when you charge your device overnight or for longer period of time. Correct?I'd really prefer not to disable my backups, though. I've never had this issue specifically related to the "Backup" process. It's not like there's a backup running when I look. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You can manually backup once a day and can disable it once done.I'd really prefer not to disable my backups, though. I've never had this issue specifically related to the "Backup" process. It's not like there's a backup running when I look. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll actually be travelling next week. No way I'm installing this at least until I'm home. I'll be living vicariously through all of you suckers, er, brave beta testers! This forums come June 6th: View attachment 2011695
That's what should be happening, yeah. I'm petty close to just setting up as new again, but am going to wait it out until the next update to see if that helps. I've got a few friends & family members who've mentioned this weekend that their iPhone's battery was low and needed to find a spot to charge. Something else going on, and I'm sure it wasn't Backups running on their devices, either.Back up process usually runs when you charge your device overnight or for longer period of time. Correct?
Maybe it's the Facebook App draining the battery? That's what should be happening, yeah. Meh...I always install even though this is my primary device. Always have my iPad and laptop as a back-up anyway. My dream is to have my phone f'd up so I can't get any calls, messages or emails.I'll actually be travelling next week. No way I'm installing this at least until I'm home. (Oh, who am I kidding...I'll wait til Tuesday or Wednesday and then install!)
That's Tweetbot, not Facebook. I haven't been on Facebook in many many yearsMaybe it's the Facebook App draining the battery?
