I have been browsing the ipsw directory trying to locate the text/alert tones but no luck so far. I thought they would be in the Ringtones folder but it does not appear to be the case. I found the folder with some UI sounds but nothing there either. Got any idea maybe where these are located?
Alert tones are here: /Volumes/Dawn21A350.D83OS/System/Library/Audio/UISounds/

They are all CAF files but QT can convert them to m4a's easily.

17.1 seems slightly worse then the RC was but only in terms of connectivity to my AirPods Pro 1 gen. My APP connect to the iPhone when I put them to my ears, but they don’t always start streaming music. The YT or Music app do not switch to my APP and sound keeps coming out from my phone rather then headphones. I need to tap the streaming icon in control center and choose to stream music through the headphones manually.

The other thing that is happening on this beta, is that when my daughter is watching YT on my profile on iMac, I can’t use my AirPods with my iPhone or iPad as they are constantly switching between the iMac and the other device I currently use. The distance between us is significant (we are two rooms away from each other) not to mention that this hasn’t been happening before.

I've had a look in there, just old tones.

The new ones are nowhere to be found. Really odd the "ringtones" folder doesn't have the ringtones in 😆

EDIT. Found them. 👍🏼

I'm not sure if this is on Google or iOS 17, but when I'm actively navigating with Google Maps using the phone, the screen doesn't remain on the entire time. Before iOS 17, the screen has remained on at least until I reach my destination. Perhaps the app needs an update.

I've just got home from making a 90ish minute trip using google maps, it stayed on the whole time I was traveling, exactly as expected.

I've been using CarPlay since May, and Google Maps is the only app that misbehaves. After the 17.0.2 (14Pro) update, I launched it, and the map screen immediately froze. At least now, switching to another app is possible without restarting the head unit.

17.1 has got to be my favourite Apple Music update in many years.

Adding ‘Favorites’ functionality may seem like a fairly small change on the surface, but it adds so much functionality to the app. This will radically improve how I use Apple Music.

Now instead of relying on Apple’s curators for everything, you can Favorite anything you want, and then later go back and filter your artist, albums, playlists, and songs by your favourites.

That will massively improve the workflow of this app.

I don't do betas but came here to see if the problem I have is fixed or not .
iPhone 15 Pro , Watch 7 both up to date latest OSs.

Since iOS 17 I can get all individual haptic notifications ( and red dot ) on my watch.

No notifications whatsoever for group messages come to the watch .

Does anyone have the same issue ? Is it fixed ?

Does 17.1 fix the Set Focus from text Shortcut element? In 17.0.x it always sets to Do Not Disturb.

Battery life is amazing on .1

Had my 14 Pro last charged to 91% on Thursday morning and it‘s still at 17%

but dang this new battery calibration. last iOS 16 version before 17 betas was 100% battery capacity on a release day 14 pro. With 17.1 it‘s down to 94%

Yet another beta release with major airplay problems. I can’t do anything with my HomePods on 17.1. Can’t manage them in the Home app, can’t airplay to them, can’t use my phone as an Apple TV remote. I’d say I’m surprised, but they just don’t seem to be able to go a single release cycle without breaking AirPlay anymore.

It's a beta, so you should always be ready for bugs or downgrade back to public release version. Don't forget to report about these bugs via Feedback and that's it.

Yeah, FaceID even with resetting is really hit and miss on this beta. It’s struggled in really light rooms or the sun - iPhone 14Pro

EDIT: reinstalled the beta. So far, so good.
