Yep! Saw that just this morning and it is persistent. It has been “syncing” for the hour and a half since I took it off the charger. Must be a bug.

Also happening on my iPad on this beta. Not happening on my wife’s devices on the general release.
I reset the network settings on my 15 PM and it “seems” to have resolved this for me.. for now…

Also, I looked in battery stats and noticed that quite a few apps had higher than normal listings of background activity. Hope this cleans that up..

Today will be the first day of typical usage (so we'll see by the time I clock out), but at the risk of jinxing it... I think battery life has gotten better.

The last couple days were abnormal usage for me and yet I was hitting 4pm with around 50-55%... so almost back on target. My 14PM was also cool to the touch fairly often.

Edit: Never mind. It’s at 70% and it’s only 11-18. 🤬😢

Jumped in hoping to resolve the almost unusable WiFi of 17.0.2. Every video paused repeatedly. Haven't gone through all the comments, but fingers crossed.

Anyone know if the boot loop issue can damage your phone. I had to restore using 17.1 beta ISPW as got stuck in a boot loop trying to restore 17.0.3 last week.

Been syncing for at least 4 days now! I haven’t noticed any issues, or any network activity that would indicate some type of persistent connection going on. Battery stats indicate only 1% for Messages. Has to be a display glitch. I might try a network reset if the next update doesn’t resolve it, but for now, no harm, no foul.

Same here, messages has been syncing with iCloud for 3 days now.

You can't get off 17.1.
I just used recovery mode (vol up, vol down, power button) on my 14 Pro to downgrade from 17.1 Beta 2 to 17.0.3

On my Mac, running Sonoma 14.0 when I put the device in recovery mode, it downloaded 17.0.3 and restored it to the phone. Before i put the device in recovery mode, I signed out of iCloud and then put the device in recovery mode.

Worked without any issues. I did not try to restore a backup, and just allowed recovery mode to put the device back in the factory default configuration.

I was watching Netflix on my XS Max earlier this evening when the phone crashed. When I tried to hard reset, it got stuck in a boot loop. Put the phone into DFU mode and tried to update/restore on my Mac (13" 2015 rMBP) and my wife's (M2 MBA), but I keep getting error 4013. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Did you try using recovery mode instead of DFU mode?

Album art on always on screen sometimes disappears but it will show up if you skip the song and go back.

So strange.

iOS 17 very buggy hope it’s fixed in 17.1

I’m well aware.
Trying to understand this issue a bit better. Is the problem that you cannot downgrade at all, or that you cannot downgrade by restoring a prior backup from 17.0.x?

I just downgraded via recovery mode and just allowed the recovery to reset the phone to factory defaults and it worked, so I must not be doing the same thing others are that are experiencing the issue. Tried reading the thread, but wasn't able to ascertain what the exact configuration is that causes this issue.

It only impacts iPhone 15 models.

Been running 17.1 PB2 since Saturday, and haven't experienced a single bug. Battery life is better than 17.0.3 and the phone (13P) hasn't gotten hot once (was still happening on 17.0.3).

FYI - I was able to downgrade my iPhone 15 Pro from iOS 17.1 Beta 2 to 17.0.3 successfully. I reloaded my MacBook Pro (M1) to Ventura (13.6), downloaded the IPSW 17.0.3, put the iPhone into DFU mode, and selected the 17.0.3 IPSW file to restore. Without having a backup of 17.0.x, I had to re-install everything, but problem solved. Also, I used the white USB-C cable that came with the phone in case anyone is curious.

In the past, I tried downgrading under MacOS Sonoma 14 and 14.1 beta, both unsuccessful.

Another overnight reboot on my 14 pro. My SE also on 17.1b2 is still not rebooting. Per System Status Pro, the 14 pro is also under heavier load than the SE even with no background apps open. This is very weird.
