Is anyone having random app crashes since beta 2? Also FaceID seems worse in this beta for me hit and miss
Safari crashes all over the place when entering text on a web site, including this one. Others are reporting that Mail also crashes when typing an email.
I can confirm the Mail app crashes. Have had over a half dozen in the last few days on 17.1 DB2. Also had an immediate crash detection prompt appear requesting I provide details and to submit the crash report to Apple.
I was just replying to your thread and safari crashed on me as I was typing.🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m thinking poor ram management in this beta.
I’ve just installed the PB2, wish I read the last couple of pages of this thread first 😄 Ah well.
My 14PM has been crashing on 17.1b2 whilst typing details into online forms/consultations in safari, the amount of times I’ve lost all details and had to start again is ridiculous. Feedback left
Yes! This has gotten worse since 17.0.3! in a dim lit room my 15Pro constantly turns its display off. Doublechecked EVERY setting I could find. During daylight it works fine. And the first nine days of ownership it just worked. Yesterday decided to get rid of the update badge and updated from 17.0.2 big mistake, really hate this behaviour. My main reason for getting the Pro was the always on display.
Is this functionality working again in 17.1 beta 2?

I’m not quite impressed with this beta. It’s very laggy now, music app is often almost unusable.
Yep. I posted earlier to say offload the app and reinstall, has stopped this on my 14Pro.
Also I reset faceID in beta 1 but still had issues. beta 2 seems to have fixed the issues for me. Maybe try resetting faceID.
Arc browser was doing that constantly on this site. I reinstalled the app. Works perfectly now.
Which device? Apple Music has been flawless for me and I’ve noticed no lag in my normal usage on a 14PM.
Guess I'll have to wait till beta 3. Can't downgrade to 17.0.3. Boots directly to home screen while in DFU mode.
I came across a bug in that if i go into cellular add a sim (physical or modify a eSIM) settings crashes and can’t go back in unless i reboot.
Seems to be random, so going to try and isolate the issue.
Further to this if i put phone on airplane mode then turn airplane off i can get into settings without rebooting phone. I’m using iPhone 15 pro max.

Interesting, Sparks been good as gold on my 14P 🤔.
Seems like when the keyboard is in play things quit. Might be related.
iCloud shows I have 9,731 photos and 301 videos, in the photo app in library all photos it shows 9,693 photos and 299 videos.
I turned off iCloud Photos on new phone then turned back on sync went thru and I have the same discrepancy as before.
Anyone else notice this. BYW some photos are missing as they don’t sync on both phones.

So far the only crashes have been in Safari but only when typing in some text, none otherwise. I have not yet experienced a crash in Mail but I don’t often type out an email. In Safari often after coming back to the page I was on when it crashed, I can reload the page and my text will re-appear. But on some sites I have to log back in to get back to that page and then the text I had typed is completely gone.
Sure hope Apple fixes it. Would like to be able to restore my iPhone.
