I tried with the latest version of Xcode beta this afternoon for about a hour and was left on 17.1 beta 2 still. Nothing worked
Yea I just tried I didn’t update to the latest Mac OS beta so ima try that now if not. I’ll be crying in the shower. Like Will Farrell in a get Hard lol

These might be also in 17.1 beta 1, I’m not sure, but I was snooping around settings and noticed a new option to pick the content type in the TV app. What’s interesting is it’s specifically about 3D content.

Confirmed this doesn’t exist on a 15 Plus running 17.0.2.

WTF. I saw a post that the tried with different USBC cables and finally a bellkin did the trick. But not sure how true that is.

Ok, who here is brave enough to test whether or not beta 2 fixes the issue where you couldn't downgrade from 17.1b1 to 17.0.2?
It's been fixed. Tested it earlier.

That's odd. I couldn't even get it to restore to anything period. As soon as it said it was preparing for restore, when it would reboot my phone from recovery mode, instead of booting back up to the install screen, it would just reboot the phone back into iOS and throw an error code. There are a few folks over at Reddit that said they were able to restore fine with B2.

you downloaded the Ipsw? that's the only way you can get to work is to manually pick the restore ipsw right now its restoring back to 17.1 beta 2 and I'm done trying lol I give up,

I’m still facing the battery drain in 17.1b2

Suffered since on 17.0.2 and 17.1b1.

Should I downgrade back to 17.0.2? And whether that is possible for 15 Pro?

Running 17.1B2, even tried doing DFU restore with iOS 17.1 B2 and it errored with the same error.

I wonder would that affect the capability to update to 17.03 later if I'm on 17.1b2
Yes, you can't update from 17.1 b2 to 17.0.3. Only way to go on that version would be to restore your iPhone, but in this case you lose all of your data, unless you have a backup of any iOS 17 version older than 17.1

My Instagram notifications seems extra strong/odd for some reason?

Silent mode on my 15PM

People trying to restore iPhone 15. Remember one thing, Apple’s USB-C cable that comes with the iPhone it’s not a data cable, it’s only for charging.

If you want to do a restore you have to have a USB-C data cable.

Maybe that’s why you can’t do it

is 17.1 B2 stable or should i just wait for 7.0.3?

I was having faceID issues on beta 1 which “seems” to be fixed. Performance and battery life haven’t change for me on my iPhone 14Pro since iOS 17.

But, depending on your device and your user set up and how you use your phone, you might have a bit of bumpy ride, so you can only read on here what the issues are and take the leap yourself. But be prepared it might not go as smoothly as you expected as it’s testing software.

If you’re unsure at all, just wait a few weeks for the final release end of October. And always do an Encrypted back up in case you need to revert back to the iOS your now on.

Macworld says:

Will all four models have USB-C ports?

Yes, Apple has moved the entire iPhone 15 lineup to USB-C. However, the implementation isn’t quite the same throughout the lineup–the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max support faster data transfers (10Gbps) while the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus support USB 2 speeds (480Mbps).

Also Apple:

I read all that as you can use the USB C cable supplied by Apple to transfer data.

I restored fine using that cable.

Ouch.. that was low. Try to keep the gloves up. :)

Just being silly.
On a more serious note who knows, maybe it is the face. For example there’s something with my wife’s fingers/fingerprints. She constantly has issues using touch devices and TouchID. Devices not recognizing touches and TouchID not recognizing her fingerprints.
And writing that something is crap doesn’t help much. Try filing a bug report saying that. Nothing will come of it.
