Something new that I don’t know how it happened or what not, but sharing here.

I just noticed I have a read notification under a green bubble for a text I sent to an Android.

Only showing on iOS 17.2 beta 1.
Not seeing that on any of the conversations I have with “The Fallen”

Chrome having issues with 17.2. New tabs - loading sites - throwing newtab can’t load error.

Expecting third party apps - especially apps as buggy as Chrome is on iOS - to work well with beta software is not a recipe for success.

Chrome is an entirely different codebase on MacOS vs. iOS. Chrome on MacOS is Chromium-based whereas Chrome on iOS is based on webkit due to iOS constraints. It's apples to oranges to compare them even though they are both "Chrome" browser.

EDIT: Apologies for an off-topic response. I was in a different thread on MacOS beta and confused myself in replying to you.

This is a thread for reporting issues. As per the next message, it's based on Safari (until maybe next year or year after).
So it is reasonable to expect the bastardized ChroFari/SafaRome to not toss newtab:// network issues

EDIT -> and it happens with some sites more (or only) than others - like... MACRUMORS.

Okay Steve Jobs: "you're holding it all wrong."
Not at all what he's saying. He's saying, and rightly so, it's a beta. Certain fixes and updates can have an adverse affect on what was working fine before. That's why they beta test.

Report it, comment on it including your submission number of the report so others can reference if they submit and move on.

Plus, it might just be you and a configuration/application/etc. on your device. There was a link above that said the issue was resolved in this beta. / shrugs /

Has anyone else noticed how bad the 17.2 iOS update is? I am having issues with my device saying that the memory is full, even though I have half of the available memory free. I also have problems with the battery draining extremely rapidly it went down 10% in three minutes, while the phone is extremely hot. I’ve also had issues with the icons on the screen disappearing. Finally maps is working very erratically and shifting it north constantly. I’ve been beta testing since Apple started allowing public testers, and I’ve never had a point released perform this bad. Anyone else experiencing these issues?

No. Not having any of those issues. Try getting off the beta, then back on.

This is like revisionist version of the news.
Which is guess is how the world is today.

I reported to apple and Google

I set a screen time of 10 minutes to my news sites so I don’t obsess about them every day but sometimes I want to extend it by 15 minutes but for some reason I always get asked for the code twice in a row to unlock those 15 extra minutes. It’s driving me mad

Someone forgot to include all the graphics for the weather widget.

Also depicted is the still-atrocious battery life.

blurring the Home Screen wallpaper only works for me with a new set up in combination with a new Lock Screen wallpaper. If I set up a Wallpaper and want to change it to something else on the Home Screen, it does not blur the background, even though the preview shows it correctly blurred.

It’s a beta, for gosh sakes…
One of the KEY FIXES of 17.2 is WiFi speeds. That was my point, not that "this beta sucks" - it was a selling point of 17.2 was around the improvement to network speed. Which in my case was a network degradation.

Anyone know if the bug where your alarm gets really quiet if you happen to sleepily glance at your phone on its stand when it's going off when standby is active and "Attention Aware Features" is on (word soup!) has been fixed?

I was nearly late for work due to this bug, but do like the other perks of having "Attention Aware Features" turned on.

14 Pro - 17.2 - WiFi speed is much WORSE than earlier versions of iOS 17 and prior.
What in the hell is Apple doing?
My 15PM and IPP are actually getting within 10mb of my 900mb advertised speed for the first time ever. Maybe it doesn’t take to particular models

Numbersync / WiFi calling has failed with 17.2.
Worked fine up until 17.1.
4 hours on phone with ATT. Disabled/reenabled WIFI calling and numbersync for apple.
Replaced eSIM. Absolute nightmare.
It’s been an issue before, but never this bad. It’s completely broken.
