Hey guys,

There is a specific issue exclusive to iPhone 15 Pro's and 160Mhz wifi channels.
iPhone 11, 12, 13 and 14's work perfectly fine with 802.11ax (Wifi 6) however iPhone 15 Pro's can't deal with Wifi 6 from Asus, Eero and UniFi Wifi 6 AP's (to name the most popular).

To clarify, if you have a Wifi 6 network at home, your iPhone 11-13 will work perfectly fine, but on the same network, your iPhone 15 Pro | Max will have a bad time.

As can be read more here:

If you are having problems, disable 160MMhz channel and your iPhone 15 Pro | Max will work fine. However, you will lose a lot of speed.

Apple better fix this by 17.2 because paying a lot for a premium device, should never be released with basics like Wifi malfunctioning.
Interesting. Must be certain network configurations causing issues then? I have a new UniFi 6 Enterprise AP (the UniFi AP with the wifi 6E protocol) and I don’t have any 5 GHz or 6 GHz issues with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. My 5 GHz network is set to 80 MHz channel width, and my 6 GHz channel width is 160 MHz. I was even thinking the iPhone 15 Pro Max does an amazing job of picking the 6 GHz network whenever possible. I’ve had other routers, and the iPhone almost always ended up on the 2.4 GHz network, so I’m truly impressed how aggressively it chooses the 6 GHz network.
Getting 930 Mbps down. Just incredible speeds over wifi.

From what I can tell it is only Wifi 6 not 6E thats affected.
In regards to speed, we were getting 920 Mbps on Wifi 6. So thats across 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz.
That to me is impressive since it isn't even using 6 Ghz.

Weather widget is borked. I’ve removed it and added it back as well as soft and hard restarts and no love. Just me?

the "catch up" arrow in messages doesnt work very well. it shows the arrow even though all messages have been read and if you tap it, it takes you to a random message.

The amount of times I press "delete and report as spam" by mistake!
I’ve not seen that option in a very long time. I think I last saw it sometime back in iOS 16. When I swipe to delete a message now I just get a confirmation option.

I get it for SMS not iMessages like today I booked a flight with Turkish Airlines and I wanted to delete their booking confirmation sms and reported it as spam by mistake

I used to in ios 16 but not since then. I just deleted one that I had left in my list for an upcoming dental appointment and there was no “report as spam option”. I get many sms messages from pharmacies, medical offices, auto dealership service departments, etc. But have not seen that option in quite a while. I just recovered one that was not from a contact and had to manually long press on the message to see the notification “this sender is not in your contacts..report message”. So even those not in my contacts no longer pop up that delete and report option.

Has anyone else noticed how bad the 17.2 iOS update is? I am having issues with my device saying that the memory is full, even though I have half of the available memory free. I also have problems with the battery draining extremely rapidly it went down 10% in three minutes, while the phone is extremely hot. I’ve also had issues with the icons on the screen disappearing. Finally maps is working very erratically and shifting it north constantly. I’ve been beta testing since Apple started allowing public testers, and I’ve never had a point released perform this bad. Anyone else experiencing these issues?

Uff, it’s important to test it and to report these issues, but…
I don’t get why people install a very early beta version and then complain about bugs. Again it’s a very early beta version. Don’t use it on your main phone when you really need a reliable phone.

Works perfectly fine for me, battery life is great too.

I am not experiencing any of these issues. That said, you are and I suspect you have either a bad install or some other app is running amok. My suggestion to you is to go to the first post in this thread and find the instructions for installing the beta via IPSW (those instructions may be hidden behind a “spoiler” tag at the bottom of the page. Reinstalling may solve your issues, particularly if you have not had issues in the past.

1. Hard reboot. If no luck,
2. Re-install the beta, or wait until tomorrow when there might be a new one.

The OS is becoming so sloppy.

Just check this bug out still present in 17.2:

Something new that I don’t know how it happened or what not, but sharing here.

I just noticed I have a read notification under a green bubble for a text I sent to an Android.

Only showing on iOS 17.2 beta 1.
