Still can’t ask Siri on AirPods for the release date of a particular song playing. Something they screwed up at the beginning of iOS 17. I have tried all the usual ways to ask.

And if I ask “when was it released” it then reels off a load of release date information for Back to the Future. Again done this since iOS 17. Reported months ago and still screwed. Worked perfectly before this crap.

I wonder if this is related to the Weather app doing much the same thing. If so, this may be some sort of privacy move by Apple.

From what I can tell the location title at the top of the photo is on device only and if I don’t tap the “I” doesn’t appear until I leave the device plugged in for awhile. I took a photo at home yesterday on my iPhone yesterday and it showed no title until I tapped the “i” on my iPhone at which point it showed the town name. It still did this morning after charging it overnight.

On my iPad it also showed nothing until this morning after charging all night, though it now shows “Home”. My Mac which I didn’t plug in shows my town name this morning.

As such the “Home” part appears to get populated while the device is plugged in, but only if the town location title hasn’t already populated or synced over. Also it changes to the town location if you view the photo info.

I was also wrong in that any photo that never had the “Home” location isn’t searchable as such. The photo I took yesterday isn’t found when I search for Home on my iPhone and Mac, but is on my iPad.

First full day on 17.3 (updated last night): My battery went from 25% to 1% in ~30 minutes while in my pocket. Not sure what or why, but thats never happened before.

Currently have around 70+ devices on 17.3 at work, iPhone SE2, SE3, 11, 13, 14 and a range of iPads.
No one is shouting so far so I guess there are no major flaws.

Also sent out info regarding the Stolen Device Protection, will be interesting to see if MS will release a setting so that I can enable the "SDP" feature via intune and set a secure network such as the work network as a known network.

Similar thing happened to me on iOS 17.2.1, but that was related to it being -25 degrees out and me shoveling snow for an hour so can't blame Apple for that one.

Ran into this last night and seeing it again today.

When I open the Weather app, the static shot of the precipitation map is accurate.
When I open that and trigger the animation, it goes blank.
Seeing it on both the Pad and iPhone (15PM / IPP 11)

Hey everyone -- here's a bug I've noticed back to 17.2. It seems that any music I've uploaded in MP3 format (I have a number of official concerts I've downloaded from nugs.net as well as albums that weren't available in Apple Music). It seems that if you listen to them on any device there are now gaps between the songs as opposed to prior to 17.2 where the songs would playback gaplessly. I've tried converting one of the albums from Flac to .m4a and they will playback fine but it's far too complicated to go back and do this with ALL my albums I've uploaded. Has anyone else experienced this?

I enabled Stolen Device Protection while at my house. I went to see what happened if I tried to disable it and it said I needed to wait an hour because it didn't recognize my location. I have home automations that run when I’m home so I know that works, so this just seems broken.

It finally recognizes I'm in a familiar location after leaving home today and coming back, though it took a few hours after that.

Seeing this too…
Clock is not centered, lock screen widgets, camera and flashlight buttons are also gone. A reboot fixes it until it happens again.
Definitely a bug, but honestly I like the look of the left justified clock. Plus, if they adopted the same swipe gesture in from the left side to turn on the flashlight as exists in the right for the camera they could get rid of those bottom icons and have a nice clean look.

hello friends, I bought a 15 pro with 17.1.1 and I wonder if I should update to 17.3, what would you advise me? Anyone with pro having battery and performance issues?

If only there were a long thread here on MacRumors where people posted their thoughts and impressions about iOS 17.3. There readers could read for themselves about the software’s battery and performance issues.

Wouldn’t that be grand?

Still centered on my iPhone 13

wifi no fix on my xs max

continous delay and time out
I bought 15 Pro Max few days ago and no issue so far. You should check region set in your routing device. In the past I was not able to connect Playstation 4 and iPhone Xs on same WiFi. The reason for that was wide of channel and also channel was at the end of frequency.

I don't know about all of you, but I feel like performance has decreased since 17.2.1. I'm getting more stutters and missing animations now like swiping away the music app into the dynamic island and waking up my screen sometimes skips the animation when AOD is on.

Podcasts stop downloading automatically with 17.3. On beta 1 and 2, they were fine. But with 17.3 RC (same as the public release 17.3), none of the podcasts are downloading new episodes automatically.

It’s working correctly on my 15PM.
