I had originally thought the keyboard was fixed, but sure enough the stutters came back a day later.
Absolutely update. The newer versions have important security updates and bug fixes (tho as you can read here, many folks are still experiencing various bugs).hello friends, I bought a 15 pro with 17.1.1 and I wonder if I should update to 17.3, what would you advise me? Anyone with pro having battery and performance issues?
Yes, supposedly this change is by design.Podcasts stop downloading automatically with 17.3. On beta 1 and 2, they were fine. But with 17.3 RC (same as the public release 17.3), none of the podcasts are downloading new episodes automatically.
Really? That's a bad design choice.Yes, supposedly this change is by design.
Really? That's a bad design choice.
Know why they decided to stop automatically downloading new podcast episodes? I just don't see any logic for removing automatic downloading.
That is not my case. My 13 mini has 157 GB available, and I play all my new podcasts.![]()

The trick is to use your partner’s Apple ID and password when setting up the screen time passcode. The "screentime" thing was debunked in the original thread that discussed this security issue.
I didn't follow the procedure as I never bothered to try to set it up in the first place, but it's something like: you click "forgot screentime password" then "forgot apple id password" and you eventually end up back where you can reset everything with just the phone's passcode.
At least, that was the last I read on the topic - maybe that was then debunked later
The new 17.3 stolen device protection does the job.
It’s one if the infamous battery and data hogs.Really? That's a bad design choice.

Seeing this as well on my 15PM… much more than i’d like & Messages actually freezes for couple seconds occasionally. Not satisfied at all.
UI microstutters compared to iOS 16 on my iP12mini
Yeah my 15 pro has never stuttered more and I’ve been on 17.3 for like a weekSeeing this as well on my 15PM… much more than i’d like & Messages actually freezes for couple seconds occasionally.
Micro-stuttering, I really have heard it allHope they polish 17.4 better in terms of UI performance and micro-stuttering

That's odd, I updated from 17.1.2 to 17.3 and the performance and battery have been outstanding so far.. Really smooth animations and no stuttering at all.I don't know about all of you, but I feel like performance has decreased since 17.2.1. I'm getting more stutters and missing animations now like swiping away the music app into the dynamic island and waking up my screen sometimes skips the animation when AOD is on.
I've noticed the same on my 15PM.. This bug has appeared in earlier versions of iOS17. Was working fine on 17.1.2 but when I updated to 17.3 it stopped working againRan into this last night and seeing it again today.
When I open the Weather app, the static shot of the precipitation map is accurate.
When I open that and trigger the animation, it goes blank.
Seeing it on both the Pad and iPhone (15PM / IPP 11)
Hi. Aside from that bug, how’s the overall performance of your iPhone 13 on 17.3? And what about the battery life? Thank you.Hi all. 13pro, 17.3. I have black Beats Fit Pros. Since 17.3 the little dropdown popup below the notch upon connection shows white buds. Anyone else seen this? Is it still in 17.4? Thanks
Nope, doesn’t look good to me either, especially being a max sized iPhone (big battery) with an A15 SoC, which is very efficient. Probably it is because it is indexing if you recently updated it?
Yes, I’ve installed this update a couple of days ago, when it came out . Unfortunately I can’t delete the marvel app, but it seems to consume battery only when I’m actually using it. However, I might try to reset the network settings and see if this is fixed. Otherwise what would you suggest? To create a backup with iTunes and reinstall iOS, then restore the backup?Nope, doesn’t look good to me either, especially being a max sized iPhone (big battery) with an A15 SoC, which is very efficient. Here’s my advice: If you can, first delete the Marvel Champions app if you think it can be the culprit, and leave it rest a bit under WiFi connection and charging. Just in case you can also reset the network settings. And leave it for some hours or even a whole night to let it do it’s things.
If none of this works, you know the deal: clean install.
I think I’m gonna refrain from updating my A15/M2 devices, for now, so thank you for sharing. iOS 17.4 looks promising in terms of performance and it is just at beta 1. Hopefully the final release will be even better!
