Clearly they do, but its not because "only the iPhone 15 has the necessary monitoring capability to do this." That was my point :)
If Coconut Battery app can give me the cycle count and health for my iPhone 6S then the data must be available from the battery IF Apple choose to display it. It sounds like “Buy the new phone if you want it”
I don’t normally suggest Apple are cynical in their marketing but I make an exemption here!

And even if they do, so what? They don’t owe this feature to anyone who purchased a phone without this feature enabled.

Cars, refrigerators and video game consoles (among many order products) all have new features added regularly. After all, they are trying to sell new products. They are not a charity

But if they are artificially limiting it they have an underlying reason. This is another case where silence makes it suspect. Hopefully they roll it out to all.

Now that’s a better point/argument. And goes back to what @Allwordzaremadeup originally stated. “Apple being Apple…..”. And you originally said that feature certainly was not to make sales of new devices.

Guess it’s much like the battery percentage they added to the icon back when. Not specifically to sell new phones or was a life or death feature but was a nice addition for folks who opt to turn it on. Be nice for folks who want to see that info to be able to without all the analytics jumping through hoops.

Clearly Apple thinks it’s a worthwhile option for more techy people or they would not have added it to the new devices. Oh and btw the iPhone 15 didn’t come with this feature enabled either when people bought them. Just sayin 🤔

But it may, in part, lead some to choose a 15 over a 14 now.

Devices from last yr and prior already have the ability to hold the battery at a specific level for clean energy and optimized charge for hours so it's clearly not a hardware limitation. And battery management hardware had been built-in for years now and not just iPhones. It's what regulates how much power is delivered to a device while considering temp and other factors regardless what charger we use.
It's most likely something they want to restrict to the 15 series for business reasons. In other words to add to the appeal of the new series.

Since updating to beta half my apps will not connect to Internet via Wifi or cellular. It's completely random which apps do and don't connect. Also Apple Music will not play any songs that I have not downloaded. Anyone else have this issue?

I’d also try resetting your network settings (Settings>General>Transfer or Reset phone>Reset>Reset Network Settings).

You’ll need to re-enter WiFi passwords after you do this but it may fix whatever is causing the connectivity issues.

Although this generally fixes a lot of issues, I hate that you're prompted to re-enter Passwords again for any Wireless Networks you've connected to prior. I mean, it makes sense? But these should also be saved in the Password Manager (which shouldn't be impacted by resetting Network Settings)...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In Keychain? Mine aren't.?

I'm not sure? I see three locations listed for me. Shows the name of the SSID and the IP Address.
