I'm still seeing issues with the AirPods auto-switching... it doesn't work, even manual switch doesn't work. I have to disconnect the AirPods from the MacBook so that they can connect to the iPhone.

3 things I noticed with 17.4:
- turning off alarm didn't turn off sleep mode, could be one-time bug, I don't know, I'll check tomorrow if that happens again,
- all shortcuts are gone from my share sheet. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to turn them on somewhere, I can't find any option in settings, shortcuts app or in share sheet,
- I feel like FaceID is slower, there's like 1-2s pause in the animation, the "face" shows up, pause and then it scans. It was almost instant on 17.3.1. It's happening everywhere I can log in with FaceID, even in photos app but unlocking the phone is the same, no difference to me.

I’m finding 17.4 exactly the same as 17.3.1 no different in speed or battery life improvements, I think people like to thing it’s faster and smoother as a placebo but for me it’s the same, it’s actually warming up more than 17.3.1

Does anyone have a problem with system data storage? I have 32 GB and it keeps increasing
You are running beta software which gathers a lot more system diagnostics to share with Apple. After Public Release you can Backup, Wipe, Restore, it will be cleared out

What's your battery life like ?
Worst I've experienced ever
Too early to tell but right now just like every other iOS 17 version - bad.
Max I'm getting 7H SOT from a full charge on my 13PM and there are times I have dark mode and low power mode turned on.
On iOS 16 it used to be 10-12h or even more when I used to stay home with just wifi on and that was without turning on low power mode.

Well I'm always sceptical whenever I see people say with every update that the phone is faster or so on because that's normal it's slightly faster after a reboot but this time around - FOR ME - I don't think that's placebo.
It's been 2 days and I can clearly feel the difference compared to 17.3.1 and I hope it stays that way and doesn't slow down after a week.

iOS has been pretty buggy even when a lot of the world were using the same latest version. Now being in a small minority (10%?) of EU iOS users isn't helping my confidence that local bugs will be fixed in a timely manner 🥴

PS: Since someone mentioned this earlier, I waited till watchOS 10.3 to upgrade from v9. I hated how much it had changed and how often I clicked the wrong button, couldn't find what I wanted etc. It seemed like change for change sake and to hell with user productivity. I'd been wearing my S6 since new, was on a 450 day move streak but hit shutdown after about a week of this and put it in a draw. I missed it for the first few days but am now completely over Apple Watch.

I’ve never seen it and I’m in the EU
I live in Spain, in the EU, and every time I go to install a new application, it redirects me to an extra window in English, recommending that I verify the information before installing. all this in the app store itself, and it's annoying.

Same here, Austria based

I really would not expect anything to do with this feature to work properly until iOS 17.4 is publicly released and perhaps not until the EU deadline date.

Isn’t the RC completely identical to the public release? Assuming the build doesn’t change between now and then of course. According to MacRumors there should be no additional diagnostics, logging or telemetry type services running in the background.

If you haven't updated to this yet, I would recommend waiting. I think my iPad tried to automatically update, and when I got home I tried to unlock my iPad and it went into data recovery mode. I'm not low on space or anything. Maybe it's a bug and they'll push out a second RC

It’s odd that I don’t have this and I’m living in Germany. I’ve only got a pop up to choose my own browser
I got the browser popup as well and that did what it was supposed to do. Unfortunately the AppStore insists on nagging me everytime I even redownload an already purchased app… I sure hope this gets fixed until they release 17.4 ;)

Don’t get me wrong, I‘m not expecting it to work yet as it‘s not yet public. I just wanted to chime in on that topic, especially since some EU based people seem to have no problems with these popups

This bug is still present too.

Is it me (I mean my sight) but the green colour seems to be sharper or more vivid than usual. Does someone else notice the same?

Where is the setting to pick another default browser (in the EU) if you ignored the pop up and clicked it away? seems like an oversight? Don’t see a setting for it.
It is in the settings for every browser installed on your device - even Safari.
