how do you consider, im iphone 11 user with 77% health battery
should i wait ios 17 or i need to stay with ios 16
My personal opinion? "Never touch a running system"- in your case. If your 11 works fine, stay with iOS 16. Yeah, people will tell you to update, for security reasons. Honestly, you should ask yourself, are you feeling vulnerable, are you missing features of iOS 17?

I did the same a while ago with my iPhone 13 Pro Max, stayed on iOS 15 forever. Even the battery had just 85% left, i was fine. Now with my 15 Pro Plus, i'm not happy with iOS 17. I can't tell you if you're going to be happy with iOS 17. For me, i did mot update my old phone.

Amazing lmao with that usage on iOS 15 or 16 I’d have 50-60% battery left, not 23% 🤩

In iOS 17.4, there's a noticeable battery drain issue. My iPhone 15P, charged up to 80%, loses 5-10% within an hour of idle time. The graph clearly shows the battery draining without any active applications running during this period

Let’s hope theres a fix coming for these battery drain issues with 17.4.1. Very disappointed with the battery on my 15 Pro.

It’s the same deal with every iOS iteration. A few users complain and there’s an article about battery drain.

There’s maybe a handful since the dawn of iOS where Apple actually released an update with a battery drain fix. So don’t get your hopes up with this.

The battery drain issues seem pretty widespread imo from info available online & social media sources. Seems that many of the newer devices are affected for some reason. It’s unacceptable for the latest devices to suffer such problems running on the latest software that debuted with them.

Let’s see what happens with the expected update. If it fixes it to some degree then great, if not we’ll keep on complaining lol

15pro here, mine charges to 80 as well, take it off about 8am by 3pm its at about 70% but in that time it’s been mostly idle.

Checked battery graph, weather widget is using about 24%, so deleted that.

After resetting all settings mine was draining 3-4 l% over a night. Now after few days it drains more…again. Today I’ve lost 9% in just 6h. That’s why I said last time that draining is fine right after the reset but then it changes for worse

I upgraded from my iPhone 12 Pro Max to the iPhone 15 Plus mainly for the battery life and I was very satisfied up until 17.4.

I used to be able to easily make it to the next morning around 11 am before needing to charge it again (to 80%).

Lately I have had to charge it before going to bed. Like right now 9 pm and it just hit 30%, time to charge it again.

Does this look good to you? It’s not been used that much?

after 18:00 we had to be in WiFi range. Am I right? During the day you were losing battery like I do just because of mobile data.

Actually most of it is on WiFi with airplane mode activated (I use WiFi calling) since I work from home
Huge difference between beginning of the day and the end. I saw same things. Some apps eat battery like crazy. They are not optimized at all

Try reset network settings. If doesn’t help reset all settings. It is more or less the same as clear install. It should help unless some apps have some bugs
You can also turn off and on your iPhone. Today I unplugged my phone really late because I have home office. I was out for an hour (didn’t touch my phone) then back and using in WiFi range for 15-20 minutes. I’ve lost 8%. Too much. I saw this before. Sometimes even older iOS when I was keeping phone plugged in too long it was draining battery faster. Maybe some iOS bug. Anyway I am so tired of this sh*%

All these manipulations with resetting shouldn't happen. Resetting something every time just to solve one out of 20 problems is ridiculous

Since iOS 17.4, the battery life on my 15 Pro Max has been great. Sometimes I wake up in the morning with around 40% battery remaining and realize I forgot to charge it, but it still lasts until 1~2 PM in the afternoon. It's stunning!
