My iPhone just notified me that I left my devices behind. This has never happened to me. This option existed for me only in AirTag. Is this something new?

Some controls are not working correctly under this beta version.
Ex1: when watching videos, the left/right keys may not back/forward until you tap on the video manually triggering the controls.
Ex2: CMD-C and CMD-V may not always copy / paste in Safari. For Copy/Paste this also happens sometimes (less frequently) using screen controls.

Reported via FB
Yes I’ve noticed what you described in your first example since Beta 1.

I've found that I need to quit the Maps app and restart it while using CarPlay otherwise it has a zoomed in look like this, and I'm unable to use +/- to zoom out

I'm still having some connection/GPS issues in my VW with Maps just "thinking" when searching for a known location. Even just tapping on a preset destination I looked up earlier sits and spins.

I also had issues on a drive home last night with music suddenly just stopping mid-song while connected to CarPlay. Happened 3 times on a short 30 minute drive going back to the main screen (which I hardly ever use). Had to click on the Music icon and press "play" again to start the song.

The iOS 17 Weather app is really amazing. I don’t envy third party weather app developers.
Calling it amazing would be being too generous. A good weather app should do more than look nice.
It’s incorrect 85% of the time when it comes to rain forecast in Denver. Says thunderstorms expected at 12pm and then keeps pushing it by an hour till the end of day. Stupidest app ever.

I’m trying it now with tvOS 17, but we can’t see the other person. The call connects and we can see ourselves but not the other person.

Has anyone made this work yet (FaceTime on tvOS)?
It hasn't connected for me yet, I'll keep trying in case it's just hit-or-miss.. but it may just not work at all yet?

How are you guys able to edit a contact poster? If I tap on contact poster on a random contact nothing happens. How do you edit someone else’s contact poster?

I did restore an iCloud backup and now I lost the wallpapers. Strange thing.
Also sometimes the app I'm using suddenly closes and I have to input the unlock code.

I’m noticing all the little glitches with the display adding HDR bits to certain logos and items while using Safari or some apps like Amazon, weird bug. Hope it gets fixed on next beta. On iOS 14 Pro here.

** Important warning for those downgrading back to iOS 16.5/16.5.1!**

Hey all, just wanted to share this in hopes no one else runs in to this major issue. I’ll try to keep this as short as possible. On Wednesday, I decided to update my iPhone 14 Pro max to iOS 17 beta for a quick look at what’s new and to test it out. I’ve done the same practice every year since iOS 7 where I’ll back up my device prior, update to the beta, try it for a day and roll back to the public until we are deeper in the beta cycle and things get more usable. On Friday, I did the same procedure. Dfu restored back to iOS 16.5.1. All went fine, went through the normal set up screen, attempted to sign in to iCloud and knew something wasn’t right. I keep getting an unknown error retrieving my iCloud back ups. Eventually I got in to the Home Screen, and saw a new warning badge stating “Can’t access iCloud data” as shown in the screen shot. Every time I would click continue to proceed, it would just hang and not do anything. Tested on 16.5.1, and 16.6 betas as well. I am literally locked out of all my photos, iMessages, login, passwords etc. Called Apple support and they discovered that the issue is Advanced data protection. Prior to downgrading I didn’t turn it off as I never had issues prior this year backing up and restoring. Somehow there is a bug preventing me to disable it and to have access my iCloud data again. It’s been rough as I have a small business and rely heavily on iCloud files etc. We are on day 3 now and got passed on tonApple engineers to try and did this, even they are puzzled. They had me install log collecting profiles on my device today and are still trying to solve it. Hoping they have a solution soon. This is the weirdest and most difficult bug I’ve ever encountered. If anyone happens to have any suggestions please share, and the main point of this post is to prevent anyone else from getting in to this cluster.

If you need to downgrade, please make sure you have advanced data protection toggled off!!

Thanks for the warning and sorry to hear what a conundrum you're in. Do you perhaps have a backup stored on a computer? Even if it's months old, it might be better than the situation you're in now. I have Advanced Data Protection on, and was also having some weird bug with it where it said my recovery key was incorrect when it wasn't, but I managed to work around it. I also restored from a computer backup which is what I think saved me compared to your situation.

Sadly I don’t have any backups aside from iCloud as I always relied on iCloud backups when things would go wrong. I’ll fall on the sword here before people pile up on me, and I’ll remind those curious, please don’t install betas on main devices! I’m very familiar with tech and iOS especially and did all the steps recommended prior to updating and the same for restoring, even kept my recovery key handy in the event advanced data protection would require it, yet here we are lol
