SMS and iMessage sync work fine in iOS/padOS 16 and Ventura.

If you are saying that you can delete an SMS from any of your devices, and it deletes across the board, then you are the first person that I’ve come across that this works for. It has never ever worked for me since day one. You, and anyone else this works for are very lucky.

Isn't that how the new "delete 2FA codes after pasting" thing works? They come in as an SMS and when I use it on my phone, it gets deleted also from my laptop.

No idea to be honest. But nothing to do with the long-standing issue of SMS not deleting across devices.

Sorry man, I know how it feels to have a long standing bug for many years. A feature that should work but it doesn’t. In fact I used to have your very same problem. It was fixed a long time ago though. I think I ended up deleting all my messages and starting over and signing out on all my devices. My sync currently works with ios17.

What, even SMS deleting works syncing across devices?

You do realize the purpose of the developer beta is so developers can fix their code for the next OS, and the public beta is to identify bugs and fix them.

If you’re not prepared to be impacted by bugs, don’t install the beta.
I’ve been running betas, JB iPhones and rooting Android for ever. Kinda know all about bugs. Just said that was the reason I couldn’t keep it on my phone and that I have submitted feedback on each build.

You do realize this is a place where people share their experiences with the betas, right? 🙏

New issue?
13 ProMax and Apple Watch Ultra - both on beta.
On the watch using the Meridian watch face.
Temp will not display. If I click (touch) the temp on the watch it displays all the weather detail. On return to watch face, the temp is lined out.

Tried resetting, even rebuilt the watch layout. No fix.
Will try a few other things before I file a FB.

[Edit] Nevermind. Don’t know why, but somehow the option to uninstall apps was disable on screen time when I installed b3. 😞

Folks, my apologies if that’s been covered already, but… it seems I cannot uninstall any of my apps.
Try deleting a voicemail.

Anybody notice max volumn is required to hear play pack of audio? I have to push the slider all the way up to max to hear midrange. and yes I set it to 125% in settings too.

I do feel like volume is very low, on speaker phone too. All the way up and have to hold phone near ear. find myself press/holding volume up more, but can’t. Haha

Just tried it on my 14P and iPad, deleting an SMS on one auto deletes it on the other, I didn't know there was a problem with this, it's always worked for me iirc.

Did a search and didn’t see it mentioned but I have four clocks and four weather widgets on the old school widgets page (Today page?) to the left of the Home Screen and they keep resetting but only only on iPad. Fine on iPhone. Annoying but #betalife I guess

I apologize if this has already been mentioned. Seems I have to sign in to download free apps in the app store. I don't recall having to do that in iOS 16.

Anyone having issues with CarPlay? Really flaky constantly connects and disconnects in my Ford with Sync3

You should only need to do that once (as upgrading the OS often wipes the stored passwords, requiring them to be re-entered). If you're having to do it each time, check your settings.

Well, I must have angered the Widget Gods. After weeks on B3 and it happening near daily on the iPhone, it happened for the first time on iPad. I will sacrifice a lightning cable in their honour to make amends.

Thanks for checking and confirming

I’ll try it again on my phone and iPad. My watch certainly doesn’t sync SMS.
I have used this SMS sync since it's available without any issues between several Macs, iPhone and my iPad among the years. It worked perfectly for both syncing and deleting SMS.

For the watch, however, SMS do sync, but they are not deleted automatically from the watch, and since the first day. I remember back then people noticed it and complained about it, but it has never changed. I believe this is intentional from Apple.

Getting requests to enter password on multiple iCloud functions this morning. All fail verification due to server side issues.

Let’s hope that with today’s round of betas that my watch and HomePods will actually see the updates (still nothing for either of them).
