Something new I’ve never seen before: when I signed into an online service (fabric.so) Safari offered to autofill the email verification code in the same way it already does for sms text verifications. I haven’t tested this with other services yet, but it’s another great quality of life improvement.
Native mail app?

Yeah but the odds are better than you think. Everything is distorted in these forums because all you are seeing are posts from people with issues. The vast majority of people here say nothing because everything is fine.

Exactly. People without issues will post significantly less than those with issues.

Also, people can take the plunge, and if they have issues they’re not happy to cope with, they can roll back to 16.6 easily enough.

Haven't read to the end yet as I'm a couple pages behind, but don't start from a clean slate until you try a re-install from the IPSW. Won't harm your data at all and resolves a lot of issues when the OTA or prior IPSW goes awry.
I didn’t know you could do that. How does one do that? I unfortunately did a fresh install and now lost lots of my messages

If they're in the cloud, you should get them back at some point.

To install the IPSW on the beta:

Sign In - Apple

developer.apple.com
Click on that and sign in with your Apple ID. It’s that simple, and free.

Note: You need to install the MobileDevice.pkg. Download the Xcode beta, then right click it in finder and click show contents, then go to OtherFrameworks/Resources/packages and it’ll be right there.

After obtaining the IPSW, just google how to install an OS and go. I can't remember exact keys, etc., but it's a simple process.

Something jittery when moving from one screen to another (from the home screen to the other screens), it's the only thing I've noticed that bothers me a little... 13PM

Yeah I should. I was wondering if it might be a bug. I submitted it as my iPad also is not syncing the messages

Can I install the IPSW right now on my 13PM with beta 4 without losing anything? Is it safe? Sorry for asking but I've never done it...

You can never say never, but myself and a couple of others have re-installed from the IPSW without any data loss. I did it 3 times in a row on B3 trying to resolve an issue I had.

Same with my 14PM in B4 (older betas were fine), homescreen UI is a stuttering mess but apps thankfully run fine. Just going to have to hope B5 fixes this bug.

Running B4 on my M1 iPad/ultra watch and there is no stuttering whatsoever on those, so it seem it's just an iPhone issue.

While wearing an Apple Watch, when notifications come in and buzz my watch, they aren't showing on my lock screen of my phone... or so I thought until I noticed they are like 1/10th the correct size until I wake up the screen of my phone.
I'm having the same issue, however notifications are not showing my watch anymore and the phone doesn't vibrate, sound or light up the screen for new Messages notifications. Notifications for all other apps seems to be totally fine.

After doing a clean install and restoring from backup my Message history is missing. I’m only getting messages from the past week. Yes I have iCloud messages turned on. Anyone else having this issue?

Try re syncing them.

Quit iMessage.

Turn iMessage off from settings

Quit settings.

Turn back on and it will pull down from iCloud again.

This has worked for me numerous times.

I’ve tried that. I’ve turned it off rebooted went back in turned on it activated but still nothing. I do have some messages but all are from within the last week.

Have you tried signing out of iCloud and back in again?

Change the iCloud account password and sign back in again. If that doesn’t work I’m out.
Tried that with a reboot as well. Still not loading the messages. Thinking about downgrading to ios16 installing the backup then reinstall the beta

The only other thing I could think of is the new ADP feature. Nothing else should be affecting it afaik.

I don’t have the ADP on. I’m at a loss. I’m gonna try downgrading and see it that fixes it then try and reinstall the beta

This was happening for me in iOS 16 too. I went into my watch notification settings and changed it from mirror iPhone and set watch-specific notifications. That’s been my workaround for months.

Yeah, been using it with no problem on Beta 1-3.

Mine has been working but it’s been a bit quirky this morning. From time to time lockscreen notifications are stealing the focus from Standby. It cuts over to the lockscreen for a few moments (in portrait mode, I might add) and then reverts back to Standby Mode a few moments later.

Obviously still a work in process.
