Can't open the App Store, but not sure if that's because there's an issue with the App Store or if it's beta related. I don't open the App Store daily so not sure when this started either.

Not sure if this is new in beta 4 or not but those rain droplets sliding down on weather cards are so nice! Good old iOS 4-5 vibes

Since beta 3 the Optimized Battery Charging doesn’t work. Anyone else?
It worked for me on beta 1 and 2, but not beta 3.

I remember in the past it took up to 5-7 days for it to work again after an update, so give it a bit of time maybe it will work again on beta 4.

Was wondering about all the battery complaints. Battery on my 13 and 13 mini has been nothing short of excellent. It seems in reading the battery complaint posts that they are usually iPhone 14's for the most part. Since iPhone 14's all utilize an ESIM was wondering if that maybe had something to do with it. Not sure why It would but it's the one thing they all have in common.

They can use a regular SIM too outside of USA. Here in Ireland that‘s the case…rest of EU too.

Yeah, I realize that, but probably most of the forum posters are in the US. Anyway, it’s kind of curious when you read of a battery complaint it seems 9 times out of 10 it’s an iPhone 14. So started thinking what do they generally have in common. Perhaps other iPhones (13’s and 12’s(?) ) that are utilizing an Esim also are prone to battery problems with the beta. I think most of the dual sim phones use a regular SIM card over an Esim though. Just me speculating.

FWIW, I am running a PB1 with both an eSIM and a physical SIM on my iPhone 12 mini and cannot notice much battery drain difference between a beta and iOS 16.5.1.

Battery life is NEVER going to be stellar on a beta. Ever. It might be ok or even good. But never stellar.
And with all the options of chargers, car chargers, and battery packs not to mention quick charge feature why would it need to last 24hr anyway? Surely one can find a means and few moments in a 24 hr period to get a bit of a charge if needed. Just my 2 cents.

Is anyone having the problem where you don’t have the option to respond via text when you’re on a call and a new call comes in?

Agree. Battery life as an issue now has taken on the same craze as megapixels did back in the aughts and early twenty-teens. Everyone wants more, but no one really knows why.

This beta 4 keeps crashing the Messages app on my iPad Pro. Quite the annoyance. Glad I didn’t upgrade on my 14 Pro.

Is Face ID not working for anyone else? It won’t work at all when trying to unlock my phone.

No so much last, rather as in the case of my 13PM, since iOS16, and now worse under iOS17, the SOT is less than it used to be. My days of SOT of 9-10 hours is long gone. :(

My 14PM seems to be constantly running hot since this update, so I'm doing a ISPW re-install.

This was added in iOS 16.

The rain drops bouncing at the top is from iOS 15 (on XS/XR and up) but the rain sliding down the glass "pane" in the background was new in iOS 17 beta 1 (iPhone 12 and up). I agree it's a nice effect.
