I tried reporting this to Apple, but they don't seem to understand it... basically trying to say I have not set it properly and it's defaulting to Cupertino - even though you can clearly see in my screenshot I attached I have it set to Chongqing China.

Also the minutes don't even match so it's impossible to just be defaulting to Cupertino time...

My guess is that Apple is still fine tuning interactive widgets. And a widget that changes constantly -as a clock must - is the height of interactivity. I’d report it and then give them time to get it right.

So has anyone else gotten feedback about what the caller hears when live voicemail is on? It's pretty funny. My step-mom said it was so rude. 😂 So I called my partner who has the beta too, and it says, "Leave a message after the tone and they might pick up..." and then there's no tone. hahahaha. I just had a voicemail from her like, okay...hello....hellooooo...I guess it's recording...that was so weird and rude!...." hahahaha. I laughed so hard when I heard it. May need to submit some feedback recommending a nicer message and to actually include a tone. hahaha.

Dear Caller. The person you are trying to reach doesn't like you. They've never liked you. But if you'd like to leave a message they definitely may, or may not, bother to answer or return your call. Have a great day, now go away.

There's a tone, but it's very short and faint. If you're calling from anywhere other than a quiet room, you'd probably miss it.

Also, you can record you're own greeting, but it still has the same tone at the end.

I think people’s expectations for battery life are often totally unrealistic. Here’s why:

“Apple says its batteries are designed to retain up to 80% of their original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles. A charge cycle is defined by a complete drain of the battery to zero, followed by a complete charge to 100%.”

So let’s say you have your phone for a year, and do a full charge once a day. That’s 365 charge cycles , which according to Apple’s battery specs, should put your phone at around 85.4% battery health.

These things wear out, no matter how much you over complicate the charging process.

These batteries seem to do well over 500 without issues as Apple seems to have way underestimated the rated lifespan. My mothers old 12PM did just over a 1000 charge cycles and that reached 79% health, my 14PM has done 123 so far and is still at 100%.

I am so dumb. I have been using the public beta this whole time... which just got updated.

Should I be using the developer beta which is the real subject of this thread, or stick to the public?

There is no way that a battery that's been cycled 123 times is at 100%, though. That's like drinking 1/4 of a bottle of orange juice and saying it's still 100% full. Which means that the battery health indicator is really not totally reliable, for whatever reason.

They are exactly the same software so it’s up to you. Obviously, the developer track will get updates first (aside from these oddball re-releases).

Thanks. The public update already started downloading, so I will go that route. I had some weird glitches (like the text disappearing in imessage) so I thought they were different software

Batteries don't wear linearly, no two batteries are the same in the way they are treated. I have 230 cycles on my launch 14PM and still at 100%

Nope! Same things were happening in the Developer Preview version (because its the same software )

And again Apple release new versions of the dev betas for iOS and MacOS with the *SAME* beta number as the previous one and no release notes to say why they've done it.

So, like last time, I won't be updating. I'll wait for DB5.

Probably not for good reasons. I’m sure MR or 9 to 5 Max will have a story soon.
