Home Screen is wonky when I exit apps. I also had the sms app get stuck on landscape mode and had to reboot phone

Why does wall paper picture get blurred at the top when you pinch to make the picture smaller? How do you turn this off?

Response will be:

“Hello there,

No need to introduce any new feature for that, you’re just using it wrong and not how we want you to!

Solution: if you’re left handed and on a call, just turn the phone upside down and then hold the phone slightly higher up. By magic the end call button is now on the left!

Yours,
Timmy Cook

P.S. yes the speaker phone and mic are now the wrong way up but that’s more of a you problem than our problem.”

Bring on beta 6 next week

By that I meant…

… in settings you guys should have an option for lefties in the phone app. It could mirror the default right handed icons layout, putting the call button the left for you.

Post 433 😉

Safari in constant data loading mode in iPadOS 17?

I have just noticed over the last few days (but it might have been there before) that no matter what page I open in my iPad’s Safari there is a small spinning wheel doing its spins and not stopping (see the pic attached). Can be just one tab open, multiple tabs, does not seem to matter.

Do you have it on your iPads too?

Done a complete wipe of my iPhone 14 pro max and restored from backup. Stupid non existent voicemail notification is still there! Let’s hope this is fixed in beta 6!

The new interactive widget stuff has made the Stock widgets worse. I used to tap on it to see my watchlist; now I tap and it shows me whichever stock was tapped on, so it takes extra taps to get back to the watchlist.
Sounds like Apple is making you tap dance!!

Beta 4 worked really nicely on my IP 14P. And this is even smoother. Quite a bit, I wasn’t experiencing, has been fixed according to folks on here. Nice little modem forward bump too.

Do it. Try it for 48hours. If you do have glitches or bugs, reinstall the iOS with the IPSW and then test again. Or just install using the IPSW which will give your phone a nice fresh install.
Sorry for the silly question but where can I find the IPSW file? Is there a download directly from Apple? Thanks.

I've got 2 VM's showing on my 13 mini and no vm is really there, in fact that phone's vm hasn't even been set up. I noticed it after the beta upgrade, thought it was maybe a prompt from the service to set it up, this explains it, thanks for posting.

Beta 5 has been running like a final release on my 14 Pro Max. No real bugs and battery is solid.

Feels very much like iOS 16 plus a few small updates. An okay release.

You can now all create free Developer account with your Apple ID.

Then in the downloads section, download the correct IPSW for your specific phone.

Might seem easy, but some buffoons have been known to upgrade the wrong IOS onto their phones 😆😂 🐙

Still having the occasional text entry box missing bug in the Messages app. Mostly happens when I tap a message notification and go straight to the conversation.
Happens to me too, if you drag the conversation down slightly as if you were dismissing the keyboard, the text box appears
