In their defense,
“Re-up” and “glide path” are the correct spells and once it changes that word the whole sentence changes so wouldn’t be surprised if more words are messed up.
For me “and” would always come out as “abs” for instance and there was a time when I couldn’t slide out AirPods even after multiple tries. So it’s definitely not without flaws and needs some refinement in the area.
Try resetting your dictionary if you haven’t already on iOS 17. That should at least mitigate some of those anomalies.
Hey! I have a question for you all. I’ve read another member complaining about this issue: when you receive a phone call from someone who doesn’t have a personal card, does it still appear as a gray screen background? I remember in iOS 15 it showed the dark-blurred wallpaper, it now it is just plain grey.

Yet another night where my phone forgets where home is.
I literally drove to a different borough this morning. I watched the map screen update my route home as I drove about, so Maps knows that I was out.
But when I get home, “Camera has detected a person that may be <me>.”

No. None of these are in my contacts. Yes to all of the other questions. This primarily occurs when I am using swipe to type.
The dictionary should be user editable.
Agree re some of the words. The ones that really get me are “in” for “on” and “note” for “now”.
And I have reset my dictionary several times.
Note: the list of names were ones that I’ve had issues with in the past before iOS 17 and I republished from an earlier post (June 2022). My real point was about how bad Glide Path remains even with these supposedly life-altering fixes to the typing algorithms in iOS 17. If I start a “slide” on the letter “n” and then up to “o” and then over to “w”, notwithstanding the fact that “t” and “e” are glided over, I terminated my gliding action on “w”, so they should bring up “now” as the primary word choice, not “note”.
I am on board with your concern.
For me it isn't as pervasive as your however I will add that a number of changes seem to occur just as I start to send the email or message. The other aspect is once one word changes that seems to trigger additional changes.
I am not sure if it the fact this feature is on ignore or Apple just doesn't care.
Tried that with iOS 15. and 11? and ....
Personally I add a number of professional terms that the dictionary / grammar never gets right or doesn't know.
Resetting it and adding my terms, it helps for a while.
After resetting it, by the time we were well into 16, the issue slowly resurfaced.
Ripoff the Band-Aid and replace. Apple needs to fix this.
Other OS's are not perfect however they are no-where near as bad.

Under beta 5 I was seeing a significant misreporting on sleep - length mainly. (OP)
With beta 6 I am seeing the same but a bit different. The misreporting in the Health app still exists. Now I have to add the sleep data is missing on my AWU. The 13PM has it, the watch is blank.
Update: after doing a hard reboot of the phone and a reboot of the watch, the watch data now shows up. I have no idea what the issue was.

I am finding on the last 2 betas that I cannot answer a phone call coming out of the nightstand mode. Just no way of accepting a call. Have to cancel and phone back.
My dyslexia went into over drive with the new predictive text blah blah.
Or I sent it into over drive. Ether way, changing words and the sentence sometimes span me out. I ended up spending more time correcting what I wanted to say. Not what Apple wanted to say.
It’s permanently off for me.

I experienced something similar (after getting a new phone) with the Arlo cameras... with multiple devices, it was confused about which device was the one where geolocation tracked as THE device... any chance you are dealing with something like that? For me, the fix was to make the new device the one the geolocation actually tracked.
Of course, this may not be your problem at all... so I will go away quietly now.
There seems to be an incredible oversight with Personal Voice creation: you can‘t manually specify which language you want to create a voice in. Kind of a bummer for multi-lingual people or people, who prefer their devices language to differ from their native one due to stupid gender shenanigans etc.
I assume you can temporarily switch languages for the creation though (did not test that, I just think it may work).

They did specifically work on the autocorrect and other keyboard refinements so hopefully the swipe gets better as iOS 17 progresses.
To some extent, it is. And we all know Apple isn’t exactly known for giving granular controls to the user.
My Carplay Maps are always super zoomed out when just in 'normal' mode and not using GPS. Anyone else with this issue? I can no longer see any street names. I tried zooming in on the App (through carplay), but it just goes back to being very zoomed out
Anyone else seeing an issue in Shortcuts, where it's impossible to create a personal automation that includes controlling a Home accessory or scene? (Create a personal automation, select Control Home as the action, then when you go to select accessories or scenes, the sheet that comes up is completely blank)
This beta, so far, is pretty good. Nice battery life as well. However, I'm still having trouble with maps defaulting to last setting when using CarPlay....when I connect to CarPlay maps comes up zoomed out to "state view". and GPS pointing down while driving. I have to set it up every time I connect to CarPlay. I let Apple know.....

See mine above---I had this start on the last Beta. I have a Toyota Rav4 Hybrid (2021). However, it doesn't happen on my wife's 2020 CR-V. So I think it's more of a Toyota problem? What do you drive?
