You can now press and hold on the “+” sign in iMessage, and it will automatically open the Photo picker.

Thx. This is a handy iMessage shortcut! But what’s odd is that this new feature is not available in this week’s iPadOS 17 update.

It stays in “Calculating time to download”. After a while it gives an error on updating.
Tried rebooting iPhone 14 pro max and iWatch 6 but no go.
Anyone?

You can try network resetting.

Google maps works fine. However, I like the look of Apple maps while on screen. I do prefer Google maps when using Navigation.

It just popped up on my phone (of course, I am somewhere where I can't do the head contortions needed to complete the process). Is this new or did it just appear for me now despite having been out a few weeks?

Nope not had that on mine, running what I assume to be the latest AirPods Pro 2 beta.

This is not new to ios17. Personalized spatial audio came out with iOS 16.

My wireless CarPlay has been crap up till this beta (I use an aftermarket wifi controller). Seems good now. No drops or issues over the last couple days.

It was introduced in iOS 16 and not new and is called Personalized Spatial Audio. Reviews say it makes a slight improvement in the sound profile compared to without.

The paste permission bug has returned for me on db6. Asks me for permission to paste every time I try to paste from one app to another. Reporting.

Just noticed under Settings > Messages > iMessage Apps you can now toggle off apps to keep them from appearing in the Messages "+" menu drop-down altogether.

For those who are unaware, you can also tap/hold and drag apps within the drop-down to put them on the initial "+" screen (e.g., tap +, then scroll down to the app you want, tap/hold and drag it up to the top of the screen).

Maps not had any issues with CarPlay on this beta. The orientation bug seems to be fixed.

But did the set up process come with iOS 16? I don’t think so.
