It feels just like iOS 16 just installed for the first time and can’t even tell but looking and using it that it’s a new iOS version, that’s a shame; also speed and animation feel the same as iOS 16
Reading posts and watching YouTube videos agree. Nothing that will blow anyone away :(

That being said, CarPlay issues been fixed in this build ?

LOL you have said that about every version of iOS. 17 same as 16 which was same as 15 which was same as 14, 13............ and all the minor builds of each one. I am thinking you may need to install Android ice cream sandwich cream apple pie sundae OS since you want it to look different. :)

GoodWhat does 'A' build mean?
Good explanation here.

Can someone confirm if this is a new, please? 🧐

Not new. Just tried it in 16.6 and it inserted the exploding head. Didn't get that menu choice though or the message.

Hard restart, might have a process over running or maybe just a lot of indexing going on on the size of your phone.
Hmm if its actually indexing etc why would anyone want to "pull the plug" to stop it? That is something it needs to do. Plus for 17, there is a new file system apparently, so it needs to convert your files to the new format. Seems that pulling the plug during that process that may be a bad idea. Just my two cents. :)

Anyone experiencing the TV app and the music app hanging on iPhone? I have a subscription to both TV+ and Apple Music and both apps lockup when I go into then and try to access anything.

I have done a restore from iCloud backup and they both worked until I rebooted the phone and then they were broken again. Not seeing the issue on iPad running beta 7.

Really? There are well over 350+ features compared to iOS 16. In addition, iOS 17 seems way more stable and refined compared to last year's iOS 16.

I'll take stability and performance over new half-baked features any day.
Kylo has been complaining every year that the new iOS feels like the old one. They want some huge revamp/revolutionary new feature every year, which is unrealistic with a mature os.

And this is why the Speculation thread continues to disappear for folks around here. 😆

Hmm… I’ve encountered a bug. I can’t attach images to posts on here since I updated to the new beta!

Still having the issue where 3rd party apps are taking up more data/storage very fast. Was hoping it would get fixed by now 🙁. Used YouTube for not even an hour and it’s almost at 1gig of storage use.

Why does it work then?

Regardless of what your phones doing in the back ground, which it will pick back up again where it left off…

I’ve had widgets not load
Stuttering on promotion
A hot phone
Etc
Etc

All sort itself out after a hard restart on install. I hear what you’re saying, but I don’t think it’s pulling the plug.

EDIT: Craig himself advises it even after an install. Multiple times. 🤷🏽
