Beta 8 running perfectly on a release day iPhone 14 Pro Max as did betas 7, 6 and 5. As an aside my battery health is still at 99% - no drama.

Delighted with the performance of the iOS betas this year. Looking forward to final release so everyone can benefit from the autocorrect and autocomplete updates plus it would be great for everyone to be using the new sticker features.

9 out of 10 awarded to iOS 17 from me. It loses a point for not having a ‘big’ new feature but I’ll take the stability benefits instead any day.

I have a funny feeling that iOS 17 has improved my photos taken on the phone. The 14 Pro Max is now a really super camera 📸 That’s my main use really. The camera speed also seems a little better - happy days. Could be imagining the improvements of course but I don’t think so.
I’m having exactly the same experience as you, on the same device (14PM). Battery health is 99% on my device too. Got mine within a week of launch day. Only issue is one of the medical apps I use is glitchy under iOS 17, but that’s an issue for the developer to sort out.

Both are valid target addresses for messages ( which isn’t really a txt message unless data is down or it can’t deliver via messages) so maybe they fixed an addressing issue with Siri

Yeah, I know that… but it’s NEVER prompted me for that distinction before in any previous version of iOS or any previous beta of iOS 17. And if the destination is the same (text message to my wife’s phone) it should not matter - not should it even be a question that I need to answer.

My personal rule is not to update to a beta anything anyone else in the family uses unless it is easily downgradable. You’ve given me hope that the feature will show up in 2 weeks. I’ll just wait till then.

But thanks for giving me that hope!

Honestly, the TVOS betas are pretty much rock solid. In fact I will go so far as to say they’ve been the most reliable of all this latest wave. Go on, update, you know you want to

Not sure of this is a new feature or a bug.

The cell service and WiFi icon disappears from the Home Screen/lockscreen.

it does appear when using apps, but fades away when going home?

The play button bug was a pain in the butt though.

If you paused anything for say 5 mins, except Netflix’s, it wouldn’t play again. You had to leave the app and come back to it. That was fixed in the last beta before yesterdays.

It’s a beta. Things happen.

Is it safe to download the latest iOS 17 beta onto my 11 Pro Max? Had terrible experience with iOS 16 last year 😃🙈

The 12 is almost three years old now. Unless you bought it later?

Give more details, otherwise your post is pointless. Surely you don’t expect a phone battery to last 4 or 5 years?
I have an iPhone 11 which I bought a month after they came out (October 2019).

I charge it nightly while the phone is off (so optimised charging doesn't work) with a 5W charger. Currently at 81%.

My location Services are off in Weather App. It just says city name (Lima) but Not the streets anymore. Any idea if There is a fix? Beta 7 was Fine

Update: fixed itself without my interference. Go figure

I jumped on the tvOS beta with my 4K and it went kaput. Showed me a a phone with a Bluetooth logo on the screen next to an Apple TV which would bring up the option to “recover” but nothing ever happened. The screen would go black and then it would come right back.

I decided a full power cycle might be the ticket but after disconnecting and reconnecting power it would show the Apple logo for a few seconds while the status light blinked and then it would reset.

Talked to Apple and they said I needed to send it in for repair. I have three Apple TVs in the house and have never had a problem with any of them before this.

Not saying the beta broke it, but just sayin’…

As this is an iOS thread I’ll say Beta 8 is humming along nicely on my 14PM, as is usual. Very happy with this phone right now and can finally say the quality of the software can be compared to that of the hardware and the overall experience is heading in the right direction.

Weather app lists street names as well as town/city?
