You encrypt it, to make sure all your data, including sensitive one, gets backed up.
Working as expect here. iPhone 14PM!Anyone got an alternative to AdGuard Pro? Been using it for years but it is still not working fully on RC for me. Gonna wipe my phone now to see if it does anything. Otherwise: bye bye
I stopped using the Adguard long time back and use NextDNS, I believe it is lighter on battery than adguard and much faster queries in my opinion. Never went over the limit for free plan.Anyone got an alternative to AdGuard Pro? Been using it for years but it is still not working fully on RC for me. Looks like the RC still have some beta components. I am unable to rate apps on the store, it says I have a pre-release version.
Thank you so much! Why should I encrypt my backup?
Yes, they show up under ringtones, but they don’t show up under text tone, voicemail, or mail tone for example. The sync’ed list showed under all of those before the RC.But they do still show up in the list ? I only have custom ringtones for the family .
Anyone else not receiving email notifications? All is set correctly and Im receiving notifications from other apps..
Seems that Im only getting the notifications if it appears in the lock screen as well
Saves all your passwords for wifi and important stuff like that protected.
just create a free developer account from Apple. Then go to downloads and get it from there.
I cant say yes or no to your question. I dont know the true workings or honesty of that site.
Saying that, the iphone software is cryptographic, so if it had been tampered with some how, it wouldn't install on your phone. But best not run that risk.
automatically 🥳So if I have the RC installed, will it update the airpods pro 2 firmware automatically, or do we have to wait for the official release for that?
How is your battery holding up? I get about 10 hours screen time on 16.1.1. I’m hoping it doesn’t tank on my 13 PMiPhone 14 Pro. Zero issues. I did get some stutter right after installation, but the phone was clearly doing cleanup/tasks as it typically does after a major iOS update. Now that I'm almost 48 hours in, this is easily one of the most stable major iOS releases ever, and I've had iPhones since the 4s. Particularly impressive is no Bluetooth/Carplay issues, which is nearly always an issue with my 2018 Subaru. Apple always has goofed that up, but, not this year!
For me it’s “People, Pets & Places”. It shows up at the bottom of my Albums tab

Apple Maps
My "Home" address is no longer appearing under quick access in Apple Maps. I always have to manually search for "Privat" for it to appear. Quite annoying, especially if you are already driving and you want to quickly start home navigation.

Manual search shows it:

I tried adding it manually as a "favourite" but the button simply does nothing. Just keeps showing "add as favourite" all over again

Battery life sucks on this for me. It’s been 2 days since I installed it
I am having the same issue on a iPhone 14 Pro. Battery life is terrible right now.Battery life sucks on this for me. It’s been 2 days since I installed it

I have had no issues all the way through this beta run. The rc is the worst by far. No apps are using an excess of power than normal. I may try a fresh install and see if that helps.Have you guys tried to see what exactly uses up your batteries in the Battery stats in Settings? Perhaps some apps need updating (after the public release on Monday)?
I am running iOS 17 RC on my 12 mini (84% battery capacity) and cannot see major issues. I get about 4:20 of SOT, which is pretty good for a 12 mini.
