Not only do you need to update your iPhone and Apple TV but also the remote as well which only updates in its own time.

I've updated the phone and TV. Hope the remote updates soon as losing the remote is an almost daily occurrence with my 8 year olds! :(

After updating HomePods, Siri no longer works on them at all. She tries, and gives up. Some other users are reporting this in another thread as well. Super lame

I have 72 contacts with posters set up for about 50 of them. But I just noticed my contacts app is eating up almost 8gb! Wtf

I think it might be a server issue. I’ve been running the beta versions and so didn’t update today and they were fine until this morning. Now Siri is failing for me too. I reported it in the feedback app.

Got a prompt for a carrier update a couple hours after updating, and it updated Verizon 55 to 55.1

Anyone here having problems with Siri follow up? I’m on XSMAX. Whenever I ask Siri for weather and then ask a follow up question it doesn’t do anything.

Well those contact posters are a load of garbage, they don't bloody work!

Mine has been setup for a while as I hopped on to iOS 17 with Beta 7, the wife and child have now updated to 17 public release so we are all running the same software and they set up all their posters and yup they don't transfer over.

The daughters one came to me and is working and mine has gone to hers but it only shows up in the contacts app on hers and reverts back to a manual photo she set of me from before on the lock and dialler screen even though in the contacts app it is set to auto update from me, however this could be because she is a child with screen time restrictions.

The wife was excited to call me after settings hers up and nope mine doesn't show on hers and hers doesn't show on mine, I've even gone into my contacts app and I only have the old previous shared contact photo option for her.

This could all be server related due to it being new and shiny and everyone setting them up at the same time, but so far yeah not impressed and this is probably quite easy to miss in beta testing unless you have friends and family running betas too.

Make sure Incoming calls is set to Fullscreen

Settings > Phone

Also reboot all your families devices.
I had something similar when I put my wife's phone onto the RC.

Also in iMessage settings

Share name and contacts
> contacts only

Show contact photos
> On

Yeah the wifes one isn't saving for some reason, although mine did work on hers in the end. I told her to reboot but both her and my daughter have a thing about rebooting their devices like its a massive chore. Although you cant beat the old power and home buttons together to reboot so much easier than the secret code entering we have today.

Sounds like they could really do with a good old reboot.

I’ve edit my original post. Few other things to check 👍🏼

CHECK THIS OUT....

So on my iPhone 14 Plus on IOS 16.6.1 I did an Speedometer 2.1 run with an score of 354 points.

On IOS 17 after giving the phone a while to rest after the update I got a score of 395.

To me that's more exciting than most of the features that i won't use.

I can't wait for Sonoma now!

Anyone having trouble sharing AirTags? When I try, I keep getting an error that I can’t share the due to an unexpected error.

Interestingly, the person I'm trying to share with is able to share their tags with me, just not the other way around.
I have exactly this problem
