CHECK THIS OUT....

So on my iPhone 14 Plus on IOS 16.6.1 I did an Speedometer 2.1 run with an score of 354 points.

On IOS 17 after giving the phone a while to rest after the update I got a score of 395.

To me that's more exciting than most of the features that i won't use.

I can't wait for Sonoma now!
This is good. Although I wonder if it’s just bringing safari back to what it was/should be. I saw a post that safari has had a major issue and it’s been causing websites to load much slower then it should. I can’t remember the exact cause but I definitely have noticed it. But today after a reinstall it does seem to have improved.

Well this is a pleasant surprise. I’ve never ever seen battery numbers this high, even with a few short plug-ins during the day. And my battery is at 86% health too. Long live my 12 Mini.

I remember at the beginning of the M1 Pro/Max chips they had a score of 275, 1 year later they had a score of 380. Now with the M2 Pro/Max we are at 445, if Sonoma does the same as IOS 17 we could be looking at a score of 475+

Looking forward to getting off the beta after all these months of weird bugs and battery drain! Will be a nice 24 hours until I download and install iOS 17.1 beta 1!!☺️☺️

I still run 16.6.1 and in the last week the battery is draining significantly higher than normal. I assume that this is caused by changes on the Apple cloud/internet services side.

The stupid recognise your pet has issues, well it does with two black cats, one has orange eyes one has green but it thinks both are the same cat, you cant separate them, and its upsetting as Corbeau (orange eyed Bombay) died this year, it hurts seeing him confused with my latest black cat (a rescue called Luna) Apple maybe just make a phone a phone, better battery life, better antenna, and forget with who my favourite pet or human is. I don't want to sit an go though the memories of my dead pet to rename it by hand!

How’s everyone’s 11 Pro Max on iOS 17? Watch this load time for X or Twitter then how it is now 😂

The performance has improved since this thankfully, hopefully just a one off glitch

Since updating to iOS17, my wife's brand-new iPhone 14 is reporting it can't charge because the phone has detected the Lightning connector is wet. It's a few days old and hasn't been near any water.

I know of this message, but maybe this is a software bug? Very odd. It was perfectly fine on iOS16 up until this point.

That sounds like a hardware problem. Perhaps it got wet in transit.

Seems an odd choice to stick weather warning information half way down the page.

Moderate Rain doesn’t seem like much of a warning, to be honest.

That seems to be outside the US (as we don’t have that warning here). It’s probably up to the relevant national weather service to give an advisory “urgent” status to get it promoted to the top of the page.

Had the same problem happen again this morning when I restarted my iPhone. Within a minute HomeKit thought I left home. I had to toggle HomeKit location permissions to fix it. It is really annoying that I need to do that every time I restart my phone.

So far, iOS 17 seems pretty slick on my iPhone 13. The UI on some apps is a bit jerky.

I probably won't use some of the new features.

Did what i probably should have done in the first place, which is restart all my Home hubs.

After doing that when I restarted the phone it didn’t think I left home. That was the first time that worked since upgrading to iOS 17.

Works just fine with our two black cats!

Glad it’s working with yours.

But I think it’s a bit unreasonable on the other poster’s part to call the recognition software “stupid” for not being able to differentiate between two nearly identical looking animals from a photograph. It’s amazing that it can do this at all, tbh.
Just wish it would work for people or pets. Mine is in an apparent coma.
