MacOS 14RC2 was released Thursday Dec 7, and tvOS 17.2RC2 Friday Dec 8, everything else was Tuesday Dec 5. Still think it is today, with a chance it’s Tuesday at the worst. Seeing a couple of last minute RC2’s doesn’t mean it is being delayed.

Ahhh, good point, thank you. You are right, technically the RC are not betas anymore.
Are there any newer build number than the RC was? Hopeful for that, still had some minor bugs
Usually the last dev/public RC and public release are the same build.
With 17.2 out, how long do you think it will be till 17.3 beta 1? I’m considering whether I should move over to the public version of 17.2 until 17.3 beta 1 comes out, or whether I should just wait on 17.2 RC beta. If it‘s going to be a while, I’m not sure if it would be better to move to the public version, or just stick on RC, since I believe RC is generally identical to public release.
RC isn’t a beta and should be the same as the public release version
Is it moving at all? Is it not moving, or just moving very slowly? If it’s moving very slowly, that‘s what it normally does for me.
I would wait some minutes. If it is not started to install only prep you can stop/power cycle and reacquire it again. Its when it is actually installing you can't interrupt the process.
it's at the screen where it just says preparing update and doesn't have the bar meter. It downloaded halfway then got stuck there
I backed out and went back in and it stayed on the same screen is that interrupting it
No I meant you can actually power cycle it. It sounds like this full install takes a long time for it to prep so just wait. Sometimes that just happens.
If it is in downloading or prep, yes. Not if it is installing, but if it was you couldn't do that.
Ya, that’s not what I normally experience, so I don’t have a solution for that. Mine typically says something like “requesting update”, then starts installing with a time estimate, and then at some point when the time estimate stops, it has more progress bar worth of install and it switches to saying “preparing update”. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it say “Preparing Update” before the time estimate number and loading bar. Sorry I can’t be of help.. 🙁
Just install the iOS 17.3 beta 1 if you are worried when it comes out later this week. 😏
I don't do beta's but if it's saying it updated there shouldn't be any problem you think? despite having a bad downloading experience
