I think it is, by the build number.

What I’m not so sure about, is if it’s exclusive for the iPad mini 5, or the changes are only for that device
If I recall correctly we did this recently with an update, that they only made via the internet

Zollo now saying he's expecting 17.6.2 again after yesterday saying it was doubtful. Kind of weird to expect that with the latest release

Jmo and don't know where to say this but I think Apple needs to cut back on the updates. We have had like 25 plus in the last year, other phones have maybe 4 a year. It is very exhausting to my brain

Then just set it to automatic and stop worrying about it.

Many of us like that Apple is actively fixing bugs and patching vulnerabilities quickly. The iCloud tabs sync issue persisted for more than a month, and an update to fix that couldn't come fast enough for me.

I say bring on the updates. The more, the better.

Absolutely right. Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that’s a crazy one in my book. To want fewer updates is nonsensical…in my opinion.

It’s not like they are hard work to install either.

While more updates are welcome if necessary (i.e: if there are many bugs), I think what @Abthevolfan92 means is that he wish the software was more polished overall so that it wasn’t necessary to be updating and patching the software at the pace we’re seeing this month.

However, I get it: there is no software without bugs. So the sooner they patch them, the better.

I think there was already going to be a 17.6.2 so if so they just need to bug be fixed in Ios 18 instead of released a 17.6.3

I assume we will see a 17.6.2 but not as soon as today. The one that was supposedly being worked on was scrapped and there is no sign of a new one in the analytics there was never going to be a 17.6.2 until that settings bug came out last thursday

My guess is that Apple is working on iOS 17.7 which will be released only via OTA (with no IPSW available to piss some of us off) right the day of iOS 18.0 release. But, yeah, we’re still at August 26th and the iOS 18.0 release day is still between 14 and 24 days away so, I think it’s possible that this week Apple releases iOS 17.6.2

Ios 18 is coming Sep. 16th so we got about 20 days. Zollo is saying we have to have 17.6.2, I don't think it's mandatory

17.6.2 not being released today feels to me like it may not exist. I'll be surprised if it gets released in a triple feature with Ios 18 updates tomorrow. @Populus I agree with you that they will wait to fix the settings bug with 17.7

Zollo saying in his video that we know 17.6.2 is in works. I think he is confused because of the release that leaker said 2 weeks ago which ended up being 17.6.1 re-release. I don't think there is a 17.6.2 at this point, there has been no other sign of it at this point. and if it's not out tomorrow highly doubtful they release it 2 weeks before Ios 18
