So, in other words, still no new changes to bring iPadOS up to speed with all the changes to iOS. And with the varying rumors about which models are supported, sounds like yet another very boring year for iPads, only to be told wait ‘till next year. And I’m sure that’s when they’ll cut off some of the older iPads.
This is just from his perspective. Nothing definitive to what the software side of WWDC is known yet until keynote. At least it gave a bit more to talk about while waiting a few more weeks.

I would like safari to finally match chrome in terms of javascript and css behavior. it would also be interesting for iOS 17, to have an improvement of airdrop (which sometimes is difficult to detect in a network environment). It would also be great if Apple integrated pop-ups offering to download PWA Apps directly from Safari. And of course a smarter Siri.

A while ago Apple changed the Safari - clear history and data in settings - it now ask if you want to close tabs. First I have closed Safari before I start the clear and I never keep tabs open. It would be nice if you had the option to always clear or always ask rather than having to answer every time. Same with backup - always telling me that I aren't backing up everything - I set what I want to back up = nice to be able to set so it doesn't ask every time

I'm a weather geek, so I'd like to see improved radar data. It's pretty bad right now actually.
Yes it was apparent that as the weather app got heavier used this last year there are some improvements needed. Radar been mentioned many times comparing this app based on Dark Sky compared to the previous Dark Sky. It reminds of how Apple Maps needing a lot of optimization for it to work better graphically with servers then when it first came out.

I don’t know how reliable this guy is, I guess he got something right in the past. These are pretty safe guesses for iPadOS 17, and welcome additions.
He’s the source of the 14” iPad Pro rumor that uses another variant of iPadOS along with thinking it might have a M3 pro based iPad also, so yeah not that reliable, sometimes right category.

I’ve heard there’s a special version of iPadOS 17, being developed specifically for larger iPad Pro/Ultra/Studio model(s), there’s a slight change that would give the 14.1” model support for up to 2 6K displays at 60hz. This signals for a definite M3 Pro SoC in the flagship iPad.

They need to start from scratch, AccuWeather radar is pretty good, the weird pastel blobs from dark sky are terrible, worst radar I’ve ever seen. It’s more of a general “it may or may not rain in this region at some point in the day” instead of an actual weather radar. Probably wouldn’t use it anyways, there’s so many good weather apps out there for us.
