What about the public beta, should not it be out by now?
I believe PB5 landed on the same day as Dev Beta 7 so hopefully PB6 should be out today

Yes, I just don’t remember if PB5 came out 3 or 4 hours after DB7. 🤔
Edit: so this time round it was a 4-hour release gap between the DB & PB.

Apple Event on the 12th 📱⌚️💻
• 2 weeks on beta 8.
• RC drops after event
(interesting to see if its the same build as beta 8)

17.1 beta could also be released before 17.0 is released to the public.
Certainly. Although this last year has more delays than seeding the next beta versions like some previous years.
I hope it goes that way. Might help with the user community migrating to iOS 17 faster by getting the 17.1 started sooner.
PS surprised no one commented on Apple's choice of the term wonderlust for Sept 12th event. If someone wanted to make fun of Apple all they need to do is change lust to bust. Fortunately no one has thought of that yet.

Its looks like Apple for once is shooting for all the new OS's to be issued same day in the future. Today's MacOS 14 beta 7 was using identical M1 FW and Safari 17 versions that beta 6 was using signaling RC next just as we anticipate iOS 17 RC soon. All of these builds ends with a "a".
Usually there’s 2 weeks between last beta and RC. Since RC will be coming next week, the chance of beta 9 is small.
Doubtful… Monday is a holiday in the US, and RC should be out next week.

I have a feeling there’s no Beta 9 that exists. I think we will be swimming with Beta 8 for 2 weeks. Beta 8 has also been very solid.

Gurman says he thinks beta 8 (which was in final form at Apple some days or weeks before it was released to us) is what will be on the new phones. So I don’t think we’ll see a beta 9 either.
Quoting Apple: "This fall". A more accurate date may be announced at next week's event.
According to Zollotech, he believes the Monday after the Event. I thought there was a year where they released the official IOS on the day of the event. I wish they would do that and just make it a celebration all day long.
I think they did that in 2020 for iOS 14 and Apple caught developers really off guard. That was really weird.
No. RC will most likely be released after the Apple event on the 12th.
It's looking like we will see the RC released after the event - which is just as a good celebration.
Then official release will be Monday, 18th.
