Is that really necessary?Jesus christ....
what device are you trying to restore on? if it’s a Mac, you may need to install MobileDevicePkg from Xcode.Okay folks... got my iPhone 16 Pro today and immediately went to update it to iOS 18.1 beta 4 (iPhone17,1_18.1_22B5045h_Restore.ipsw) via the Apple Devices app and it failed with an Unknown Error 10.
The 16 Pro then went into recovery mode and when connected to the Apple Devices app, it prompts me that it needs to download an update from Apple, but that update fails with Unknown Error 75.
Any ideas? I've swapped USB-C cables without success.
Update: seeing if iOS 18.0 (22A3354) ipsw will work.
In another thread, people shared their experience with 'Apple Devices' on Windows 11, version 1.1031.17413.0 does not support iOS 18.0. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-18-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2435491/post-33414894Okay folks... got my iPhone 16 Pro today and immediately went to update it to iOS 18.1 beta 4 (iPhone17,1_18.1_22B5045h_Restore.ipsw) via the Apple Devices app and it failed with an Unknown Error 10.

Would appear I’m dead in the water and only option would be to visit an Apple Store to see if they’d swap the device out.In another thread, people shared their experience with 'Apple Devices' on Windows 11, version 1.1031.17413.0 does not support iOS 18.0. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-18-bug-fixes-changes-and-improvements.2435491/post-33414894
You could try a third party app like 3utools perhaps?Would appear I’m dead in the water and only option would be to visit an Apple Store to see if they’d swap the device out.
Unless someone here has a set of steps which work.

What have you noticed?!
That’s correct.
Is anyone stuck on the waiting list for Apple Intelligence on iPhone 16? It started working right away on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’m sure it’s taking longer because of server demand, but I installed it right away when the first 18.1 beta was released.
It’s been a few hours for me too. I’m guessing everyone is trying to turn it on all at once today. Is anyone stuck on the waiting list for Apple Intelligence on iPhone 16?
