iOS 18.1 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

You peeps are good with Xcode. Question.
I have a 15PM on 18.1 B4 and I'm trying to do a full backup on my macbook. It keeps saying there's not enough hard drive space even though there's plenty.
Is this an outdated Xcode issue or something else? If y'all know. Thx for reading.

Whatever is going on with these iOS 18 Betas (.0 and .1) it's not going in right direction for AirPods Pro 2 USB-C users... or at least me 
From not reporting sometimes Case battery on Lock Screen on 18.0 B4+

to currently on 18.1 B4 - not showing it at all sometimes on every single Widget but only on "pairing" screen.
Close by MacBook also only shows battery state of Pods but not Case...

Or it's some kind of weird HW issue on 18.0 RC as:
had sudden almost full discharge (from +-70-80%) and fast charging (1% each few seconds) when AirPods were put on MagSafe charger like BMS got haywire or had recalibration...

pretty sure you need to enable it though like with other things - I had to do that with vitals today although it needs 7 days of sleep data. There is no ‘on’ switch or any mention of apnea in the health app that I can see on dev beta 4.
Is that really necessary?
Okay folks... got my iPhone 16 Pro today and immediately went to update it to iOS 18.1 beta 4 (iPhone17,1_18.1_22B5045h_Restore.ipsw) via the Apple Devices app and it failed with an Unknown Error 10.
The 16 Pro then went into recovery mode and when connected to the Apple Devices app, it prompts me that it needs to download an update from Apple, but that update fails with Unknown Error 75.
Any ideas? I've swapped USB-C cables without success.
Update: seeing if iOS 18.0 (22A3354) ipsw will work. Does not work either - Unknown Error 10

what device are you trying to restore on? if it’s a Mac, you may need to install MobileDevicePkg from Xcode.

Windows 11 with the latest Apple Devices app. Tried a restore with iOS 18 final and same issue.
Would appear I’m dead in the water and only option would be to visit an Apple Store to see if they’d swap the device out.
Unless someone here has a set of steps which work.
I had to set up my 16 Pro as new and now I’m attempting to install 18.1 so I can restore from a backup. It’s been trying to download for over an hour and now it just paused. When it first dropped it took maybe a half hour to download and install. My watch update says 23 hours remaining. On X M.G. Siegler said he’s on hour 6 of an iPhone to iPhone data transfer. I get a new phone every year and I don’t ever remember things being this slow.
Coming up from a 14 Pro, it feels a lot more responsive, fluid and the slightly bigger screen is noticeably bigger. Bezels are thin!
Screen feels super smooth to touch. Definitely smoother when I compare both. Rounded edges on the frame is a big yes from me.
Just loving the speed and I’m not on 18.1 yet which has some reports it’s smoother quicker than 18.

Clean up works pretty good on the ip16Pro.
Is anyone stuck on the waiting list for Apple Intelligence on iPhone 16? It started working right away on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’m sure it’s taking longer because of server demand, but I installed it right away when the first 18.1 beta was released.
It’s been a few hours for me too. I’m guessing everyone is trying to turn it on all at once today.
Definitely some performance improvements from iOS 18 in 18.1.
