Hope the damn lag is fixed in this version, especially the keyboard lag which drove me insane at times on my 15 Pro.

Did you ever find a fix for your keyboard lag? I’m experiencing major keyboard lag.

Is anyone stuck on the waiting list for Apple Intelligence on iPhone 16? It started working right away on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’m sure it’s taking longer because of server demand, but I installed it right away when the first 18.1 beta was released.

I didn’t need to re-sign up.

I restored my backup to my new phone and used my old one while the restore process went on its way.

However, my Health data in new Phone says Health data sync was at 16:02 on old Phone it says last sync 19:30. For some reason my new Phone isn’t syncing with old phone over wifi. Both phones are connected by wifi and both plugged in. Still no sync at 20:35

Of course this means health data is missing from new phone. Steps and workouts.

Both phones were rebooted.

Anyone else notice this?

Is it a good thing there is actually no recent posts about ‘bugs’ on the public beta? Has anyone seen any?

Took less than 5 minutes for me on my 16 PM. Took my wife closer to 20 on her 15 PM.

Interesting. You know what, I set up my iPhone without a restore on 18.0, then updated to 18.1. I wonder if I'll have better luck doing a fresh restore to 18.1. I'll try that.

If Apple Intelligence isn't enabled by tomorrow, I'll just restore from my iPhone 15 Pro Max backup.

Ok now I'm having an issue. I'm trying to do a fresh restore through the finder, and right after it got past the "extracting software" part, the update crashed. My phone disappeared from the finder. It didn't actually do anything to my phone, but lost communication with it. If I unplug and re-plug, I try again and the same thing happens.

Maybe this is something I should contact Apple directly about, but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I didn't install Sequoia 18.1 beta 4, maybe I need to do that.

Edit: The bolded fixed it. I can do a fresh restore now. In case anyone else has the same issue, you need to update to Sequoia 18.1 beta 4!

Is there a known defect about Dark Mode icons not working? I have to go into homescreen edit and choose dark there.

Okay folks... got my iPhone 16 Pro today and immediately went to update it to iOS 18.1 beta 4 (iPhone17,1_18.1_22B5045h_Restore.ipsw) via the Apple Devices app and it failed with an Unknown Error 10.

The 16 Pro then went into recovery mode and when connected to the Apple Devices app, it prompts me that it needs to download an update from Apple, but that update fails with Unknown Error 75.

Any ideas? I've swapped USB-C cables without success.

Update: seeing if iOS 18.0 (22A3354) ipsw will work. Does not work either - Unknown Error 10
Maybe try using iTunes instead.

Why is it asking me to connect to WiFi to set to Siri? I’m already connected. Anyone have this issue. Just installed iOS 18.1 on iPhone 16 pro max

Edit: never mind it’s working now

No idea if this is a B4 thing specifically, but have any other Aussies noticed Apple Cash showing up in iMessage? I can press send and request, but it asks me to verify and I need a US address so can’t get past that stage, just never had it show up before. Wondering whether it’s just a beta slip.

Definitely some performance improvements from iOS 18 in 18.1.

It’s smoother.

I was genuinely & pleasantly surprised by this change! Speed, doing tasks, opening apps etc is noticeably quicker & better. The whole device feels smoother from scrolling to typing 👌🏻😄

So I have been running beta's since iPhoneOS5 and have never seen this before, twice in two days am getting SOS as my phone provider. Even though this is beta software I have never seen this. The iPhone is a phone, and this is quite dangerous. A hard reset or alt Airplane mode seems to fix. There is nothing wrong with my sim card phone hasn't been damaged.
iPhone 15 Pro.
But this satellite image is on point.
Am guessing no one else is having this issue? Also hard to give official feedback on this via the applet when this occurs.

Quick question.
I'm giving my 15PM to my wife now that I have my 16PM.
The 15 has 18.1b4 on it and my wife's current phone has 18. Her account is not signed up for the beta updates.
How would I go about using her current backup of 18? Will the 15PM with 18.1 allow her to use the phone with a non beta account?
Do I have to downgrade the 15PM to 18?

I restored from an iCloud backup of my 14 to my new 16 Pro earlier, after updating the 16 pro to 18.1 beta and I’ve had many different issues that I was not even having on 18.1 on my 14.

The biggest ones include:

- certain apps hanging and refusing to work, until the phone is restarted several times (mainly settings and Safari right now)
- repeated crashes when trying to adjust photographic styles in settings
- inability to customize watch faces in the Apple Watch app, because a few seconds after I click on one, I get taken back to the previous screen
- icons are not showing up correctly in spotlight suggestions or in the settings app
- notification badges are back on, even though I had them all off for years including now
- can’t access location services settings on watch, and the watch doing that weird thing where it discharges even though it says it's charging.

I'm still stuck at Joined waitlist after almost 3 days. Can't seem to get pass this stage and receive the notification to download the model to the phone. It's pretty frustrating at this stage. I'm in Malaysia btw.

When I initially installed at b1 I was stuck on the waitlist for a while (10 minutes). I force quit all apps and hard booted the phone. As soon as it started I was accepted. Try that if you haven't.

Thanks for the suggestion, just tried and it still doesn't work.
