Overall, especially those running the latest beta on an iPhone 13, 13 mini or SE 3, is it more efficient -battery wise- than 18.0.1?

I have charging limit set to 80%. The last 2 times I’ve charged my phone it’s charged to 100%. I know it will occasionally charge to 100% even with the limit but I don’t recall it ever happening on back to back charge cycles.

Maybe too soon to know if it’s a bug or not but just curious if others have seen the same?

Well there are 196 posts ahead of yours to judge by. If you do, just make sure you have that encrypted and archived backup saved so you can go back if it doesn’t meet your expectations for stability

For any of you running this beta who have smart locks… Are you getting notifications on your phone/watch when they either lock or unlock? I’m not, but they do appear on the Apple TV. My locks are NUKI.

The same Apple TV is the main home hub also running the latest developer beta software.

I normally get the HomeKit notifications on my iPhone and Apple TV. I’m pretty sure I get the smart notifications from the Nuki app but I have it set to Auto Unlock so I just get the buzz on my wrist and I just walk in.

I’m heading out a walk soon so I’ll keep an eye out on what happens when I’m back home.

I'm on 18.0.1 and I have an Aqara U200 lock. I'm not getting notifications on my phone/watch either. Only on my Apple TV.

So happy to read that!! This has been driving me nuts! I'm still contemplating whether I should install the beta or wait. How's your experience so far in terms of stability and performance?

Well, I haven't seen any big issues with 18.1 b6, and I'm happy that the Sleep Apnea feature is now enabled. I can see that there are 2 measurements now (from the last 2 nights sleep). :D

So just back my walk. Got the smart notifications from the Nuki app as I’m approaching home. Sadly they don’t stick around but I have the last one. The one where it tells me the door has been unlocked.

As you can also see I got the notifications from the home app, 2 when I left and 2 when I got home.

Just to confirm. I use my Apple TV 4K as my preferred home hub. My iPhone, Apple Watch and the Apple TV are all on the latest iOS 18.1 betas.

I also use the Nuki app beta from TestFlight and it’s on the latest. My Smart Lock 2.0 is quite old and only has HomeKit and Bluetooth as I don’t have need of the Nuki Bridge.

Now that I got all that out. I did notice this morning that I didn’t get a notification from Neato that my overnight cleaning completed. I had to check the app to be sure Remy done his duties

I have Schlage locks and they do send an alert to my iPhone, Watch, and iPad. All devices are on beta.

iPhone 16+ / iOS 18.1b6
iPad Pro 4th Gen / iPadOS 18.1b6
Watch 8 / WatchOS 11 b3?
