Not sure what's going on with this latest 18.1 version, but I've noticed significant battery drain in comparison to the RC. Yes, I know it was just installed, however, even after installing the RC (from 18.0.1) last week, I didn't experience this level of drain.

Yup, same happens with 11Pro and music played from YT Music. Stays solid even though title is longer than textfield and I think it was correct at RC…

Do you have feedback Id to refer?

Edit: and it’s on every music widget possible in CC
Restarting the phone fixed it for me temporarily but the problem comes back.

I haven't seen this one. Can you check your accessibility settings if you maybe are using some uncommon text enhancement feature (larger text, bold, a combination of those)? Maybe there's some visualization bug in combination with some of those.
I just checked, the only accessibility for display that's on is auto-brightness.

I should say it's intermittent, it doesn't happen every time. It's one out of every 5 messages I swipe away, maybe. But if there's more than 2 or 3, it happens every time I clear my inbox.

Keyboard lag is even worse now, I can’t type fast on my 16 pro max, how hasn’t apple fixed this
I have user interface lags swiping to the home screen, legs, and others. It is just a piece of crap update and I’m really not impressed. They’re already focused on 18.2 and this is an afterthought.

We 18.2 beta testers had to join a wait list as well for additional AI features. Most of us have been waiting several days. I'm sure the 18.1 wait group will get access sometime today.
Took < 10 minutes after installation. Maybe they've deployed additional human or machine assets to do whatever needs to be done...though it's to clear why there should be a waiting list for this.

Mail fetch is still broke. It always behaves as if it’s set to automatic even if it’s not.

Running a hearing test breaks headphone accommodation sample testing (every setting sounds the same) until the phone is restarted.

Do you have Apple Intelligence enabled?

I had that on the RC coming from 18.0.1. It seems maybe all the indexing for photos and new AI search stuff may be causing it. Mine cleared up in a day or so on its own. Was showing “Photos blah blah” in background for 7-8 hrs a day those first days. Plus a few other items. That finally stopped appearing and it got back to awesome battery afterwards. Sit tight a few days and it may self resolve.

Just updated to 18.1 and wondering why it still says ‘Beta’ near the AI symbol at the top of the settings page?

While things are smoother there are still lags and stutters sometimes when closing apps and also waking the phone

Apple said that Apple Intelligence is launching as a beta feature and I expect it to remain in beta throughout all of iOS 18, similar to how Siri launched.

I don't see the background indexing after updating to RC and now the official release

Is this a good or bad thing ?
