I think the default voice “accent “ is driven by regional settings.Once you’ve set up AI you can change the Siri voice to any country instead of the US. Just reread your post. Voicemail 😁 scrap that then!

No the app is always there. Turn off the beta profiles and the feedback icon will go away. No you wont get the general release next week because you already have it if you install the RC (Unless they find an issue and release a new build then you will)question please , will the RC remove the feedback app ? also next weeks general release , will I be able to download that as well ? thanks
From what I understand this is because of the carriers not Apple. Then don't need their network brought to its knees by billions of folks downloading iOS updates of 7+ gb a pop. Nor do their users want their service degraded.Thx. Apple being Apple stuck on their dated rules of WiFi only despite how available 5G is nowadays. At least ask me if I wanna download. 🙄
Because anyone running previous betas Apple wants a fresh install to flush out all the beta changes (1-7 in this case). The release will only download what's changed since iOS 18.0.1 so will be the normal delta update. Why? What’s the difference if we waited till next week?
It’s only been a few hours, not really an indicator of performance.Hmm battery life was excellent on my 16PM in the last couple of betas but seems to be draining quickly with the RC from today.
I was on 18.0.1 and updated to RC 18.1. Isn’t it better if Apppe always releases a fresh install for any update? No the app is always there. It’s 2024 and people still moan about battery life just a few hours after the update🤦♂️Hmm battery life was excellent on my 16PM in the last couple of betas but seems to be draining quickly with the RC from today.

Here you goCan someone with a 16 Pro/Max please run benchmarks with 18.1? Supposedly 18.1 substantially increases single and multi core.

No issues for me.Any issues updating iOS to 18.1 RC but leaving watchOS on 11.0 until next week…?
(Just got my first-ever Apple Watch, so not totally sure how crucial it is to have both iOS & watchOS in sync as far as software updates go)
What firmware version of your AirPod pro 2 are you on?Hearing Aid test is available after install of 18.1 RC
I was able to do the hearing test after installing 18.1 RC.
AirPods Pro 2 firmware is the most recent public release: 7A305
How do you do the test? I don’t see the option in health under health checklist.I was able to do the hearing test after installing 18.1 RC.

I have regional set to US and Siri voice set back to British (my region) once I had AI turned on.I think the default voice “accent “ is driven by regional settings.

Works also in the NetherlandsJust in case, the hearing aid feature seems to be US/Canada only at the moment.
