Once you’ve set up AI you can change the Siri voice to any country instead of the US. Just reread your post. Voicemail 😁 scrap that then!

I think the default voice “accent “ is driven by regional settings.

No the app is always there. Turn off the beta profiles and the feedback icon will go away. No you wont get the general release next week because you already have it if you install the RC (Unless they find an issue and release a new build then you will)

Thx. Apple being Apple stuck on their dated rules of WiFi only despite how available 5G is nowadays. At least ask me if I wanna download. 🙄

From what I understand this is because of the carriers not Apple. Then don't need their network brought to its knees by billions of folks downloading iOS updates of 7+ gb a pop. Nor do their users want their service degraded.

Because anyone running previous betas Apple wants a fresh install to flush out all the beta changes (1-7 in this case). The release will only download what's changed since iOS 18.0.1 so will be the normal delta update.

I was on 18.0.1 and updated to RC 18.1. Isn’t it better if Apppe always releases a fresh install for any update?

No battery drain - iPhone 16 Pro.
Haven’t had any battery issues throughout 18.1 betas.

These guys are good to look over settings for potential drain issues. They are ex Apple genius. The privacy, location settings, system services is quite surprising when explained what it all does.

Hearing Aid test is available after install of 18.1 RC

What firmware version of your AirPod pro 2 are you on?

As I don’t see the option in health app for doing a hearing test.

still nothing here. Region set to US to allow AI, airpods same firmware as you, tried both health app hearing section and airpods settings when connected - nothing. Restarted phone - nothing.

A ‘What’s New with AirPods’ splash screen popped up as soon as I put AirPods in and it took me to the hearing test from there…

I have regional set to US and Siri voice set back to British (my region) once I had AI turned on.
