In the UK I'm now seeing the Food tab in Apple News+ on iPadOS 18.4, but not yet on iOS 18.4. The recipes have not been rewritten for European measures, which makes them not very useful as they use US measures which are not commonly used/understood in the UK or EU. Similar apps allow people to switch between metric and US measures - maybe this will come. However there are some which come from UK sources which use metric measures (which I guess are equally unhelpful for US cooks)

Not having it hang, however the app Badge, the automatic check, and manual refresh are back to being all different again. Gmail x2, iCloud x1

Interesting - FindMy - Devices
I have two AirTags, one for travel luggage and one for misc. I can no longer see them with my 15PM. They just don’t show up.
I do have an AirTag on a spare set of keys and it does show.
Last time I checked these ATs was 18.3
When I do hold my phone over one of the ATs, I get an error message - see attached.
To add to this, my AirPods Pro 2, show but the location states “no location found”
Hard Reboot didn’t help.
Batteries are good in devices.

OK, so, 18.3.1 has been a pretty buggy and battery-heavy experience for me on the 16 Pro (which is odd…normally I don’t experience half of what folks report online…I also always update via IPSW/Finder). Is 18.4 in its current beta stable enough for daily use? I am getting really annoyed with 18.3.1 and would like at least a marginally better experience.
It’s pretty stable (15 Pro here). The AI stuff can be a bit laggy and buggy but in general everything works fine.
Weird. Siri decided to use old interface over night without interacting….

I keep it that way for now I think, because everything else works like it should
it is really not understandable how they mixed that up at Apple.
For me the tap for Siri and Image Playground was broken too, that's why I decided to run through the exercise again.
At least I can confirm the workaround as working ...

Do I need to download the models when on EN(US)? Or can I switch back before that?
Arghh... gone for me as well.
So I do need to set Region and Language to English and then immediately back to German? And then the models are downloading again?
EDIT: seems not. I just changed language to US English and then switched back to German. Not touching the region settings. After a few secons new Siri animation was back. So that was not downloading anything.

Same here. It was all fine for a couple of days but yesterday after charging it’s back to the old design.
It don’t want to do this workaround again and will wait. Probably it comes back from in a while or with the next beta version.
Also have the feeling that a lot of the Genmoji and Playground stuff still has a lot of issues with the German language. But I won’t complain to much over an early beta.
But interesting to see how quick I got used to the new Siri design and think the old design with the bubble looks a bit outdated.
They must be working on it. Else I couldn’t explain that weird behavior…

I’m afraid priority notifications are going to lead to people getting scammed. Everyone can report this number if they want lol.
