I have exactly the opposite. Yesterday the battery consumption was low, and today with the same usage scenario the consumption has increased significantly, the charge percentage is melting before our eyes.
What device? I do one or two soft resets in the days following a software update. It usually resolves any minor software problems & bugs.

Iphone 11. Problems with power consumption started with the transition from 17.7.1 to 18 iOS. What kind of soft resets? Doesn't it erase the phone's data and settings? I don't want to enter/set up anything anew, because I don't believe that resetting the settings can affect the operation of crooked firmware (personal experience).

I’ve found in the past that as devices age the latest software can be detrimental & impact battery life, the iPhone 11 series is now on its 5th major software update. Not sure if they will get iOS 19?

Soft reset - in quick succession, press and release volume up, press and release volume down, then hold in the power button in until you see the Apple logo on screen.

It does not erase anything and no need to sign in to anything etc.

According to this site's rumours, iOS 19 will run on all phones currently supported by iOS 18. So the iPhone 11 will get it. iOS18 is running well (performance and battery-wise) on my 11.

Known as a hard reboot. The word "reset" scares people :)

I thought you were talking about resetting, not rebooting. Shutting down/rebooting doesn't help me at all.

Try to fiddle around with light/dark mode (which you already did), custom theme colors, and rebooting in between. Like: make the icons light, reboot. Make them dark, reboot. Change to some other color, reboot. Until at some point it maybe "unsticks" itself.

Also, can you maybe remove and readd thephone app from the Home Screen?

It's annoying to have to do such stuff as it should just work out of the box, but still, maybe it's worth a shot.
I've tried every combination of icon modes, and it only happens when in dark mode. I didn't have this problem in RC, and the strange thing is that installing with the ipsw file didn't fix it either.
I've also noticed that Apple Pay has stopped notifying me of payments immediately; it does so after hours, and I still don't understand why. In RC, it notified me immediately. I'm about to try downgrading to RC and staying there. Let's see if I can do it without formatting, because I have an eSIM and I'd lose it.

I keep getting this message with my AirPods when I open them. Anyone else?

I have an iPhone 15 Pro, and even after updating with the ipsw file, the problem persists. It only happens if the icons are in dark mode; everything is fine in light mode. It's as if the icons are missing from the opening and closing animation of the Phone app. Yes, it only happens with the Phone app, but I use it a lot, and the fact that it goes without an icon for a second while it does the closing animation is very strange.
My 15 Pro doesn't show this problem with the phone app icon or any app icon. I use dark mode, small icons and "bright" photo wallpaper.

I already solved my problem with the missing icon. I downloaded the RC and saved the data with 3utools. It worked perfectly, and the problem wasn't there on the RC. Then I tried installing the OTA again, and this time the installation took much less time than the previous time. The entire process was completed in 10 minutes, whereas the first time it took almost half an hour. I'm now on the stable version and the icon issue is gone. The problem with the mute buttons and the Memories options in the Photos app was present in both versions, so who knows how long this has been malfunctioning.

iOS 18.5 broke Face ID on my iPhone 13 Pro. After installing 18.5 yesterday, EVERY time I need to unlock my iPhone the Face ID won't work and I have to type in the password. I decided to reset Face ID and start over and each time I try I get an error message that "Face ID Is Not Available" and to try setting it up later.

I had ZERO issues with Face ID prior to iOS 18.5. The problem started IMMEDIATELY after I installed iOS 18.5. Not once has Face ID worked correctly since installing iOS 18.5.

Way to go, Apple!

This setting depends on your carrier and how they want it managed. In Spain, for example, with Yoigo before it was acquired by Orange, you could force the iPhone to use only 2G, 3G, 4G, or 5G, but with Orange, you've only been able to force 4G or 5G for years. If you could before, I assume your carrier has decided they no longer want you to use only networks lower than 4G.

When are they gonna fix that annoying bug of launching a widget whichever you swipe over when you swipe to a widget screen and then back a bit "too fast"?

Seems like this has been there ever since the first iOS18 release till now.

Stuttering when swiping between homescreens with colored icons and animated widgets (unless you reposition your widgets just right) that will probably ain't getting fixed at all and not really expecting them to anymore. But at least fix that first thing. 😆

Honestly, at this point in time, I really think Apple has already given up on this “old” UI and they have been focusing their efforts on the new iOS 19 UI. It’s not normal how many bugs and glitches have been accumulating on iOS UI since iOS 16, 17 and especially 18, that haven’t been addressed at all.

i think, as long we still deal with technology, bugs and annoyances will remain exists, regardless how much the price.
Of course, but the “there’s no software without bugs” is not an excuse for a company to neglect the many UI bugs that have been accumulating over the years, especially in iOS 18. I’m not an Android user, but some of them swear that the quantity of UI bugs on Android (pure Android anyway) right now is much much lower than iOS. For a company like Apple, as I said, that’s not acceptable.

I can understand if the bugs are widespread, which is not the case.

18.5 is a mess on YouTube website.

Videos occasionally not starting, or stucking.
