I have to say, whilst iOS 18 looks nice, I’m rather disappointed. There’s nothing cutting edge, nothing groundbreaking. It’s just the stuff Google have been doing for the past 10 years.
Agreed, I’m going to 17 I think, at least until the main features come online later in the year

Anyone else getting hit with the constant iCloud account verification?
Haven’t had any on my 15 PM.

On the Today screen some widgets are light instead of dark. I am using dark mode. I can change the widgets to dark by choosing customise but then system icons are dark as well which I don't want. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I’m seeing this as well. Not a huge deal but my calendar widget is white while the rest of my setup is in dark mode.

I liked it for about half an hour, then went back to the small icons with text underneath.

Maybe I just wasn't ready for the change :)

I like the text going, but I think the app size is too big.
Needs to come down a touch to allow for a bit more breathing space around the icons so my eye can be more relaxed looking at the screen when finding my apps.

Think I'll hold off. Without the updated Siri and AI, not worth the risk. Want the updated Control Center, but can wait on that. :)

Gooooo onnnnnnn!

Honestly, few little niggles here and there, but 90% happy using it for the first day.
Performance and battery is just like io17.5.1 on my IP14P.
And there is a nice smoothness to it that feels different to iOS 17.

Gotta say, in some ways this beta feels smoother than iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 on both my M4 iPad Pro and my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Battery has been stable, temperature is definitely cooler. Little things aside, quite impressed so far.

I presume another beta in ~15 days (week before July 4th), a DB3 ~July 10th with a PB1 of that DB3 ~July 15th. That’d be my guess for how this will go based on last year.

I installed it on my SE 3rd Gen. I’m tempted to do it on my iPhone 15 Pro Max just for the recording of calls. I don’t Like how it informs the party it’s being recorded though. In Wisconsin you do NOT need 2nd party acceptance. Maybe there will be aftermarket applications for this
I don't think call recording is available yet.

Using the count mode instead of list mode has fixed my notifications. Not sure about stack mode, I haven’t tried that yet yet.

I tried all three and Count and Stack gave me the best results.
However there are Notification that I am just not getting. Not to mention that some apps that had Notification in 17.5 are no longer listed in 18.

It’s early in this beta. Much much more to come.

Took the gamble and updated via ipsw using Sonoma.
Still using my shortcut created icons.. staying away from the tinted stock icon stuff.. all seems to be flowing nicely so far for a B1 🤞🏾
