I don’t remember seeing this in iOS 17. Play Last in the Music app is now Play After and includes the song name. Pretty genius touch!

Anyone having problems with Siri controlling HomeKit devices? Whenever I try to check the temp in the house, it give me the 'Something went wrong, please try again' message. Siri can turn on scenes, but cannot turn them off. It CAN, however, turn off individual devices.

Well, in the past, beta 1 has been usable but then beta 2 and 3 start taking a nose dive with bugs galore and apps crashing, then beta 4 starts getting better and each beta after that gets a bit more stable until go-live. I learned to wait until beta 5 or so to jump in.
Well of course. But where’s the fun if it’s all easy

Anybody figure out how to set a different screen customization/tint per Focus? For instance, I’d like my Sleep Focus to tint all my icons a certain color.

This morning CarPlay won’t connect automatically to my vehicle! Anyone having CarPlay issue? How to get it back working. Cheers.

My current minimalist Control Center setup—single-page (the others seem redundant since they’re accessible through long-press) and with all audio-related things in a single row. I nixed the brightness slider because I’m one of those auto-brightness-always weirdos. Really nice levels of customization here; looking forward to refinements.

I was, like every beta for years, but I've had to roll back to 17.5.1.

I seem to be an outlier, but my main IMAP mail account didn't work.

I have other IMAP accounts which worked, and many people don't use IMAP any more anyway (iCloud, Outlook, Gmail etc.) but it was enough of an irritation to me that I went back.

I'll try again next beta. Rolling back is easy, apart from all my banking apps. They're a pain.

Which mail provider with IMAP were you using that didn't work?

Is RCS enabled in first beta?
Does not appear to be, but they seem to be ready for it... the text line will probably change when you are in an RCS conversation. right now it says "Text Message - SMS"

Definitely a server side/ protocol change that they will eventually enable..

This is how it will look when enabled.

Btw, the Music sounds different. I’m running the latest AirPods Pro 2 firmware and first thought it was cuz of it, but the sound is fine from the MacBook.
I immediately noticed it sounds different via CarPlay. The mids and highs are more forward. It sounds EQed, I don’t care for it.

I know you can now change the icons for the camera and flashlight on the Lock Screen, but it doesn't seem like there is a quick notes or even new note option? Am I missing it?

Has anyone noticed the effect of the light icon on the Homescreen customize control? If you have DARK or TINTED icons, a little light button appears on the upper left corner of the controls... but as far as I can tell, it doesn't change anything (yet)... it toggles between two states with no noticeable effect on the screen or icons.

Seems to darken/lighten background; it makes sense you wouldn't see a difference given you have a black wallpaper.

Very buggy
The lock-application by face id is not working at any app. I hide the face id sensors so it cant recognize me and its say that the recognition failed but still the app open and i can use it.

If I try to move app in home-screen to another page it duplicates the app and one of them cant move and always shaking in edit mode even its not. (after reboot it fixes)

The spotlight search not appear when I slide down (works only in the widgets page and the keyboard is behind the apps)

I changed my battery to 80% just to try it, and I changed it back to 100%. But now it won’t charge until 100% even if optimization is off 😭 or maybe it’s just the battery percentage cause that’s been buggy too

I can see your viewpoint on that. For me Teams is a primary work app and in this beta the notifications and widget are gone. So far the app works else I would be rolling back.

Just installed on a ip15pm (Daily driver). Works fine.

Also installed on an iPad Pro M4 13. Also works fine.

Ultra 2….you guessed it, works fine, haha!!

Good luck all those installing the dev beta!!

How’s it running on the Ultra? Cannot seem to find any solid intel on the Ultra. I have 18 running solid on both my phones and iPad’s.

Electricity usage in home app does not know the right utility to use. Where I live we have SMUD as do probably 20-30 cities in ca. it tries to log me in to PG&E which fails.

Where does the home app show what utility company you subscribe to?
